Hello, dear travelers,
I know it's been a while since we last connected, but only today I found the time to write this post to share my adventure from yesterday. Unfortunately, I spent the weekend at home due to really bad weather in my area, so I avoided going out because it would have been pointless to take any photos.
But yesterday, since I had a day off from work and a strong desire for a nice bike ride, I borrowed my cousin's bike since mine is at the mechanic for a gear issue. With the beautiful sunny weather, I decided to embark on a 50 km ride from Val Trompia to the Franciacorta area – two well-known regions in Lombardy.
Essentially, I followed the path called "Sentiero degli Angeli," which is set in a completely natural environment within the Torbiere Park. It's a place to explore not only by bike but also for beautiful walks, especially if someone wants to completely disconnect from daily life and immerse themselves in nature.
Naturally, as I'm not in a rush, it took me several hours to complete the trail. I stopped often to admire nature and relax, as I prefer a leisurely bike ride rather than an intense one.
It was a bit chilly, especially in the morning with eight degrees, but after a lunch break, the weather improved significantly, reaching around 15 degrees – a pleasant temperature considering it's only March. It's always nice to visit these places on weekdays since you practically encounter no one. I can only imagine how chaotic it must be on weekends. Nonetheless, it was a truly rejuvenating ride.
Though I was in a bit of a hurry, next time I plan to take more time to explore the village within this trail. By the way, while cycling, I even spotted a small deer crossing the road. In this trail, one needs to be cautious due to the presence of wild boars lately; encountering such an animal can pose a threat.
In conclusion, I can say it was a wonderful and revitalizing bike ride – just what I needed to start the week on a positive note. Fortunately, my cousin lent me his bike because I'm uncertain about the timeline for mine to be ready, but I hope it'll be soon.
