Hello my friends! I wish everyone is well. This time I'm going to take you to another longer destination in the old continent, I mean the Mediterranean country Greece, my native country. A few years ago I went to visit my mother, my daughter also went but a few days before. This trip was long, about 12 hours from Venezuela to Greece. Flights always depart in the afternoon. When I arrived at the Greece airport, my daughter and some relatives were waiting for me.

That trip was emotional because I had not been going for years. From there we went to my sister-in-law's house in Athens and the next day we traveled to my town, where my mother was. She was very excited and very happy because we had not seen each other for years. It is a very pretty town with its mountains and its renovated houses. About twenty minutes from my town there are a lot of spectacular beaches.

After a few days and since it was summer and it was very hot, we arranged with my daughter to spend a few days in the state capital, Kalamata, which is an hour from my town. My brother took us that day with his car. When we arrived, we looked for several options to stay and finally we stayed in a campsite that also had the option of renting a house, we stayed with the house, very beautiful and the place was very beautiful, quiet, the only noise was the harmonious singing of the cicadas. We paid for the stay, leave our luggage and went to the beach on foot, just a few meters from the campsite. There, if you want to stay under an umbrella all day, you just have to buy a soft drink or a Nescafé to drink.

This place is a paradise full of charms, the infinite beach and blue like the sky with sand and pebbles, a little deep but very transparent, we get tired of swimming but always going in and out because at noon the sun beats down. After 5pm it is cooler and you can stay on the beach until late because the sun hides its face at almost 9pm. In front of the beach there are restaurants, there we had delicious fresh fish and other very tasty local dishes.

After having lunch and resting we walk through the shops, there are many and all kinds. Some finger-lickin 'handmade sweets and other delicacies that tourists know very well and that is why every year they visit this place of good and economic life, and for its innumerable and magnificent beaches. We have spent the day happy and content. We return to the campsite to rest at night.

The next day early, we went down to the beach to enjoy everything we could. When you go to the beach what you want is to have a good time. Well, on the last day we also enjoyed the beach a lot and in the afternoon we finished shopping in the stores, some souvenirs of the place and very tasty sweets that it is very difficult to resist them, so many yummy things that there are no words! We take the things we buy to the room and go for a walk along the seashore on the sidewalk that is very long to walk because it reaches the other end.

Here at dusk groups of young people are used to ride with bicycles, that time is the best because there is a divine breeze. If you are in the capital in the center, buses pass that leave you in front of the sea in just five minutes. Kalamata is a beautiful city with 60,000 inhabitants, there are many things to see, museums, a castle, it has a lot of history, beautiful beaches and all kinds of fun. We have had a great time here but we only stayed for three days but we got to know a lot about this beautiful city.

Well friends, whoever can travel to this country will find dream places known worldwide and the most important thing is that Greece is the cheapest in Europe, don't forget if you go to this city to buy dried figs, a delicacy, the famous olives and handkerchiefs of silk.
