Amazing Nature WednesdayWalk Hike of the Beautiful Glen Canyon Park, West Kelowna, British Columbia.

Wow. This is my first hike this year and it happened to be in a beautiful Glen Canyon Park which is located in West Kelowna of British Columbia, Canada. This is my entry for the beautiful and fun #WednesdayWalk which is creaded by the awesome @tattoodjay.

While visiting my parents in Kelowna over the weekend, which was only a day and a half, we decided to go for a hike in this beautiful park, which I have only been here once before and that was two years ago, during summer and I loved it, so it was great to be back.

We were so lucky that it wasn't raining because we would not have gone there since the weather was not very warm, but actually pretty windy and cold.

First, we went out to the Kelowna park at the Okanagan Lake, but because it was too cold, we decided to come to this park, which we figured would be less windy and warmer, which it was.

The reason I love this park is that it is a great place to hike and it has a lot of very steep stairs. The whole trail is going down and then hiking up the stairs, then go down again and hiking up the stairs, which is awesome exercise, if that is what you are looking for.

You can see and hear the stream flowing and right now it is pretty big and strong stream since all the snow is melting from the top of the mountains.

The view from this bridge was so beautiful and you can really hear the stream. And now we are going to walk all the way down to the stream.

And we made it all the way down to the stream, which is so beautiful and just the perfect place to come and just sit and relax in during the hot, hot summers.

Now it's time to hike up again.

This fallen tree is where we rested last time and now my dad will rest on it while I and Jordan go for a few sets of steep stairs. We call it "the Dziadek's bench" (grandpa's bench).

Now it's stair time. Yay.

We did 3 sets of stairs and on the way back, we decided to sprint it out/ run it up the stairs and we did, but my legs were burning.

If I lived here, this would be my daily run/hike. So beautiful and when it is very hot, you can cool down in the stream and keep on hiking.

The beautiful thing about this trail is that you walk down to the stream, then hike up and down again to the stream and keep on going like this, which is so cool.

And that was the end of the trail. We were so glad we ended up coming here and enjoyed this awesome hike with the birds singing everywhere and the sound of the stream flowing.
This was such a treat. This is one of the reasons I love, love coming here to the Okanagan so that we can enjoy the relaxing, healing, beautiful nature.

Hope that you enjoyed my #WednesdayWalk and wish you all a wonderful rest of the week.
Love @joalvarez
