In today's post, I want to share with everyone, that a very interesting place, with great experiences, will help you have experiences for your trip to Vietnam, someday.
The place that I want to introduce, in today's article, is Bay Mau coconut forest, located in Cam Thanh commune, Hoi An city, Quang Nam province. When mentioning Hoi An, many visitors will immediately think of Hoi An ancient town. An ancient city dating back hundreds of years, besides the old town, Hoi An city also has a place that many tourists visit and love which is Bay Mau coconut forest. The reason this place is named Bay Mau is that in the past there were only seven acres of coconut trees growing naturally, to this day, the number of coconut forests is more than 200 acres. Bay Mau coconut forest is located only about 8km from the centre of Hoi An ancient town, to the southeast. This place is also the last point of the Thu Bon river, before emptying into Cua Dai beach. Bay Mau coconut forest was formerly planted to combat mangroves and today, it has become one of a famous tourist destinations.
Bay Mau coconut forest is a brackish water area, which is the right condition for the development of nipa coconuts. When coming here, visitors will experience sightseeing by basket boats, each boat will carry from 2 to 4 people. The ticket price for visitors to visit the coconut forest by basket boat is from 200,000vnd, for 1 boat. An affordable price, but with a lot of interesting things. Visitors will be transported by local people to visit the coconut forest by basket boats. Each boat will follow the other, passing through the canopy of the coconut forest. Walking under the trees, visitors will be quite excited when the weather is quite cool and fresh.
After visiting the coconut forest, visitors will be transported by boat drivers to the middle of the Thu Bon River, and the basket boats will be gathered in the middle of the river. There will be performances of cultural performances of indigenous people. The most popular game among tourists is the spinning boat game, the boats will be rotated by the boatman, and visitors must hold on to the boat so as not to fall out of the boat, it looks quite dangerous. But everything is very safe.
In addition, there is a performance by local fishermen, the fishing nets will be released by the fishermen to catch fish. In the nets, visitors will catch schools of anchovies, a typical fish, to make bottles of pure fish sauce. Fish sauce is a popular dipping sauce, in the dishes of Vietnamese people, you can enjoy it in most restaurants.
During the visit to Bay Mau coconut forest, visitors can choose to add another service to the trip. That is cooking, with the locals here. The dishes that visitors learn will be the traditional dishes of the people of Quang Nam and Da Nang. Visitors can contact to book a tour in advance so that they can combine visiting the coconut forest and learning how to cook at Trap Mau coconut forest. The price for tourists, learning to cook dishes, will be very affordable from 200,000vnd. Visitors will learn to make from 2 to 4 dishes. The dishes that visitors will learn about are Banh Xeo, Boiled Meat dipped with Mam Seasoning dipping sauce and Ram Meat roll with vegetables. After visiting the coconut forest, the boatman will take the boatman to the houses along the river. The locals here will guide visitors to make the dishes.
When learning to cook, visitors will be provided with ingredients and tools for processing.
The chef will be a local, the chef will guide you step by step to cook a dish. Visitors will learn to pack pieces of Ram Meat. How to make multiples to make Banh Xeo. The stages will be specifically guided by the chef, besides, the chefs also guide visitors, and decorate the dishes with fruits and vegetables. The indispensable thing is processing sauces, visitors will be able to make dishes by themselves. After the stages, visitors will enjoy their results, after more than two hours of cooking and processing lessons.
After savouring their own creations, guests will start making their way back to the marina. This is beautiful!.❤️., I dreamed of visiting this famous Bay Mau. I had explored only Saigon when I was able to travel to Vietnam. Soon if I can travel to Vietnam again, I'll surely drop by in this wonderful tourist attraction of Vietnam.
Saigon is the most populous city in Vietnam and the economic center of the country. Glad you came to Vietnam, I hope one day you will come back here and explore the central and northern part of Vietnam.
I was really curious about the local dishes but now I'm more fascinated by the round boats because I've never seen them before and they look sooo cool! The landscape is also stunning :)
