Los Angeles, America's city that attracts visitors from all over the world, has been the subject of numerous films and fascinates both at night and during the day... It's not enough to take a tour of Los Angeles, one of California's most important cities, but it's also not enough to talk about it, is it?
We were in Los Angeles for a total of four days. I'll just detail three of the four days in this piece because we spent one of them entirely at Universal Studios and Disneyland.
I'll start with one of the most crucial details: we rented a car because we only had a limited amount of time in Los Angeles and wanted to tour the California beaches, which was a good decision.
Although Los Angeles has a subway system, you will almost certainly require other modes of transportation to get to the places you want to go. Because the city is spread out across such a large region, there are significant distances between areas of interest.
We spent a lot of time on our first day on Sunset Boulevard, which stretches for 35 kilometers and terminates at Santa Monica Street. Then there's LA's must-see Griffth observatory, where you can see the sun set as well as the famed Hollywood sign. We made the decision to go.
We arrived at the observation spot after about 15-20 minutes of trekking. The sunset here is quite stunning, however I strongly advise against visiting at this time. If you're lucky and the weather is clear after sunset, you can use a telescope to observe the moon and stars. Volunteers in the garden area would gladly assist you in this respect and will gladly give you with information from their telescopes.
We headed to Santa Monica for dinner and pleasure at the amusement park after leaving the observatory. By the way, despite the fact that the air temperature is 22-23 degrees during the day, the weather becomes bitterly cold in the evening.
I couldn't tell you how pleased I was to be chilly after the heat and humidity of Panama. Bubba Gump, a restaurant chain known for its theme park, and Forest Gump on the pier are two must-sees in Santa Monica. The pedestrian street and stores, of course, should not be overlooked.
We didn't mind arriving in the dark because we'd had our fill of the beach, sand, and sun in Panama. However, you may wish to visit the beach throughout the day.
Between 1926 and 1985, Route 66, which united the western and eastern United States, came to an end at Santa Monica. This road began in Chicago and ended in Los Angeles; it no longer exists, but the 3940-kilometer road's end sign still stands in Santa Monica.
We had our meal at Bubba Gump after seeing this sign; we waited in line for a bit, but at that point we strolled around. The portions are enormous, and the cuisine is superb. If you're in the area, don't forget to take a photo on the famed Forest Gump bench.
