My definition of a perfect place to go on a trip is one where I can get to the most beautiful places on foot or by public transportation. Within my country Argentina there are a lot of options of places to go for a walk, but if you don't have your own vehicle, the most important thing to consider is what you can do without it. If you are in these same conditions, the city of Ushuaia seems to me a good destination to do this because in itself, the city and all its surroundings are beautiful. You don't even have to go far to get good landscapes, as its imposing snow-capped mountains and water mirrors are in sight 😃.
Mi definición de lugar perfecto para ir de viaje viene siendo aquel en el que puedo llegar a la mayor cantidad de lugares hermosos a pie o en transporte público. Dentro de mi país Argentina existen un montón de opciones de lugares para ir a pasear, pero si no tenés vehículo propio, lo más importante a tener en cuenta es qué podes hacer sin él. Si estás en estas mismas condiciones, la ciudad de Ushuaia me parece un buen destino para hacer esto porque de por sí, la ciudad y todos sus alrededores son hermosos. Incluso no hay que alejarse mucho para obtener buenos paisajes, ya que sus imponentes montañas nevadas y espejos de agua están a la vista 😃.
What I liked most about going to Ushuaia in the summer was that the days were getting longer and longer. In this part of the world the sun rises at 4 AM and the day lasts until after 10 PM, which allows many hours of sunlight to enjoy the outdoors. On my first day in this new city I was able to enjoy a very nice walk around thanks to this. My flight had arrived very early in the morning, and although I took a good nap to recover energy, when I woke up it was still daylight so I had to go out for a walk 😅.
Lo que más me gustó de haber ido a Ushuaia en verano es que cada vez los días se iban haciendo un poco más largos. En esta parte del mundo amanece a las 4 AM y el día dura hasta después de las 10 PM, lo que permite muchas horas de luz solar para ir a disfrutar al aire libre. En mi primer día por esta nueva ciudad pude disfrutar de una muy buena caminata por los alrededores gracias a esto. Mi vuelo había llegado muy temprano por la mañana, y aunque me tomé una buena siesta para recuperar energías, cuando me desperté seguía siendo de día así que obligadamente tuve que salir a dar una vuelta 😅.
The city of Ushuaia has at its feet the great Beagle Channel, but if we move a little to the airport side, we can find a nature reserve with another small lagoon, home to many birds and fish. This place is located very close in the center and has a whole corridor that allows you to go all the way around the pond. In several points of it there are viewpoints and indicative signs to better understand what you are seeing 💕.
La ciudad de Ushuaia tiene a sus pies el gran canal de Beagle, pero si nos movemos un poco hacia el lado del aeropuerto, podemos encontrar una reserva natural con otra pequeña laguna, hogar de bastantes aves y peces. Este lugar se ubica muy cerca en el centro y tiene todo un corredor que te permite dar la vuelta completa al estanque. En varios puntos de él hay miradores y carteles indicativos para poder entender mejor lo que estás viendo 💕.
It will take less than an hour to go all the way around the pond and is a good option for a walk near your accommodation. As you go around the lagoon, you can have views from all angles of the mountains. This city has a really privileged location because no matter where you look it is beautiful. It is the southernmost city in the world and many tourists from all over the world come to visit it, which is logical given its beauty 💞.
Dar toda la vuelta al estanque llevará menos de una hora y es una buena opción de paseo cerca de tu alojamiento. A medida que vas rodeando la laguna, podes tener vistas desde todos los ángulos de las montañas. Esta ciudad tiene una ubicación realmente privilegiada porque mires para donde mires es hermosa. Es la ciudad más austral del mundo y muchos turistas de todo el mundo vienen a visitarla, lo que es lógico dada su belleza 💞.
Of all my tour, the point I liked the most was this one, which was located right in front of a large mountain range behind the city. The pond was calm and with the daylight it formed a large mirror where you could get some very good reflections. I was glad I hadn't seen pictures of Ushuaia before, because everything I was seeing for the first time surprised me a lot 😃.
De todo mi recorrido, el punto que más me gustó fue este, que se ubicaba justo enfrente de gran cordón montañoso a espaldas de la ciudad. El estanque estaba calmo y con la luz de día se formaba un gran espejo en donde se podían obtener unos reflejos muy buenos. Me alegré de no haber visto fotos de Ushuaia antes, porque todo lo que estaba viendo por primera vez me sorprendió un montón 😃.
Near the end of the road you could see the boats of Ushuaia's port. Just at the time I was visiting, the final stretch to complete the full circle around the pond was under repair, so I had no choice but to retrace my steps. At some other time, when that passage is enabled, it will be possible to return to the sign with the letters of Ushuaia, just where the walk begins 😅.
Casi llegando al final del camino se podían ver las embarcaciones del puerto de Ushuaia. Justo en el momento en el que estuve de visita, el tramo final para terminar de dar la vuelta completa al estanque estaba en reparación, así que no me quedó otra opción que volver sobre mis pasos. En algún otro momento, cuando ese paso esté habilitado, va a ser posible volver hasta el cartel con las letras de Ushuaia, justo en donde se empieza la caminata .
This small reserve was created with the aim of conserving part of the flora and fauna that lives in this place. In recent years the city has grown considerably so it seemed like a good idea to create this space. Ushuaia is surrounded by beautiful landscapes and there are hundreds of places to visit, but having a green space so close to the urbanization is very comfortable. Spending the afternoon walking on this trail helped me to have a 360° view of the place, and above all, to acclimatize to the cold that it was in that area 😅.
Esta pequeña reserva nace con el objeto de conservar parte de la flora y fauna que habita en este lugar. En los últimos años la ciudad ha crecido considerablemente así que me pareció una buena idea que se creara este espacio. Ushuaia está rodeada de paisajes hermosos y hay cientos de lugares para ir a visitar, pero tener un espacio verde tan cerca de la urbanización es muy cómodo. Pasar la tarde caminando en este sendero me sirvió para tener una vista 360° del lugar, y por sobre todo, para aclimatarme del frío que hacía en aquella zona 😅.
From the moment I arrived until the moment I left, I couldn't believe I was in that place. Going to Ushuaia is like the 'difficult little escape' for all travelers since it is an expensive destination for us Argentines, and I had gotten a small job there at the last minute. I like to believe that this opportunity was waiting for me and I'm glad I took advantage of it because it was one of the coolest trips I've ever had. I was already amazed by everything I had seen from the city and I hadn't even seen much more of everything beautiful this city has to offer: it was just the beginning ❤️.
Desde que llegué hasta que me fui no podía creer estar en ese lugar. Ir a Ushuaia es como la 'fugurita difícil' para todos los viajeros ya que es un destino costoso para nosotros los argentinos, y yo había conseguido un pequeño trabajo ahí a última hora. Me gusta creer que esta oportunidad estaba esperándome y me alegra haberla aprovechado porque fue uno de los viajes más geniales que tuve. Ya estaba maravillada con todo lo que había visto desde la ciudad y ni siquiera había visto mucho más de todo lo hermoso que esta ciudad tiene para ofrecer: apenas era el comienzo ❤️.

Great image, a crystal clear water. The photo really hit me and I feel very cold just watching those pictures. I can't help myself to imagine how many clothes and jacket I need to put on.
