Hello everyone? How are you today? Now I would love to lead you to a destination the place can't miss when we visit Hoi An "Cham island". This Place is seem to "A raw pearl" not honed yet in Hoi An, Viet Nam. It possesses the ideal beauty of unexplored nature and a rich ecosystem.
What is the best time to explore Cham Island?
When we tell about island tourism, summer is always the optimal choice for traveler. From March to August is the best time to learn about this place. We can combine camping with fun, eating, diving to see corals, squid fishing with local people which is the interested experience here. This period is called the golden period because it has warm weather with warm sunshine and clear blue sky.
Beside if we would like to discover about the customs and festivals in here such as: praying rain festival(from 3-4 of lunar calendar April) or Bird Nest Anniversary( From 9-10 of Lunar Calendar March). we can understand more about The unique characteristics of the people here through this festival.
How to arrive to Cham island?
We have two options for coming here. The best one is Cano which is the most choice from visitor because it's so fast, just around 20 minutes(150,000 VND/time).. This way is safe and also save your energy to explore this place. However the ticket fees is more expensive than when you go by wood ship .
If you love to feel the floating and seeing the sea view, you can choose the wood ship. But some people can sick if you go by this way. And it takes more time than Cano around 2-3 hours from Hoi an to Cham island. And Ticket fee is 50.000VND/time.
Both Cano and Wood Ship start from Cua Dai pier and we should get up early around 7am for well preparing so that you can explore this place.
What is the best destination that we can't miss in Cham island?
Bai Huong Village
This is a simple fishing village with more than 100 households. The main industry here is the exploitation of bird's nests and fishing. When Coming to Cham Island, we should not miss discovering the nature and people here . In order to arrive Bai Huong Village we can go by canoe or rent a motorbike to freely explore this place. The cliffs cling to green moss mixed with the color of the sea, the poetic scenery makes all visitors admire it. We have the opportunity to learn about the simple souls of people here. You can experience living with the people to feel the simplicity of people like the scenery here. Or you can also participate in fishing, squid fishing with the people. the trip starts at 4pm and returns early the next morning.
kayak experience
A very small feeling when kayaking in the vast sea. It really makes you feel very interesting when exploring this sea and rowing through the boats near the shore. Please Get your life jackets ready as we explore this experience. It only takes a little time to learn how to balance and you can row successfully. This is one of the activities that are very popular with young people when visiting this place.

In fishing villages in Vietnam, a basket boat is one of the most familiar images. Learning how to row a boat is not an easy thing. But in return, we will have a feeling of chill in the sea along with the undulating waves. Note that we must always wear life jackets for safety .
Bird's nest island.
As we all know, bird's nest island is a nutritious and famous food in Cham island. It is likened to "white gold" in this island region. Let's explore the bird's nest cave together !
You can rent a boat for about 15 minutes, you can explore the majestic cliffs and witness the scene of swallows flying out from the nest.
Snorkeling
If you have come to Cham Island, you cannot ignore snorkling to discover corals and fish in this sea. Life jackets, snorkels and goggles will be provided by the tour company. Note that these tours are only suitable for people with good health and adults. The trainer will teach you how to breathe and dive properly
Sea Trek.
This is a new service in Cham Island. Each 20-minute dive costs about 850,000 VND.
Champa ancient well.
This is a place associated with legend. If anyone wants to find a lover, they can drink this water to make their wish come true. Boys drink 9 sips of water, girls take 7 sips of water, this is a divine experience shared by the people here. Or if you want to have a baby, you will also drink this water to make your wish come true.
Marine protected area
This area is located in Bai Lang Village The place protect the animal that was had the extinction risk.Tourists who come here will have the opportunity to experience something truly meaningful.
Hai Tang Temple.
It resembles the architectural works of Buddhism in the old town, the roof is covered with yin and yang tiles. According to the ancients, there was a merchant boat carrying timber that had to stay in this place when it encountered a storm. To pray for better weather, they built this temple.
The life of people in Cham Island.
The people here are as simple and rustic as the nature that God has bestowed on this island. The main occupation of the people here is squid fishing and fishing near the shore. But after it became a popular tourist destination, people's lives have also improved a lot. But the Covid situation in the past 2 years has also significantly affected the lives of people here.
