Introduction about Phuc Kien Pogoda.
when we Come to Hoi An, you can explore this place where is located in the heart of the old town. This is very famous and built by Chinese merchants, it contributes to the old town being more attractive and stimulates the discovery of visitors.
This is a sacred place that brings luck and peace to everyone. You cannot miss this place when visiting Hoi An
Where is Phuoc Kien Pagoda located?
Assembly House is located at 14 Tran Phu Street, Cam Chau Ward, Hoi An Ancient Town The Place is very easy to find it. This is one of the biggest five assembly houses five in Hoi An ancient town. This combines the architecture of Chinese-Japanese and Vietnamese.
Ticket Price
Please note that when we visit this place you must buy a ticket. For foreigners, it is 150,000 VND and for Vietnamese people, it is 80,000 VND. This price includes 5 attractions in the old town such as: Japanese Bridge, TK house, ...etc.
Phuc Kien Pagoda is only open from 7 am to 6 pm, so you need to arrange a time when you come here. you should go in the morning time to have peace of mind.
What is the best time for exploration?
From March to September is the best time to explore when the weather is warm and sunny. and also it has a lot of festivals at that time.

The project is designed in a very unique way with a depth of 120m and with elaborately carved statues and most of the roof is used yin and yang tile roofs.

the first is the welcome gate area, then the yard, the lake, the bonsai, the two sides have 2 horizontal rows of houses, the main hall and the back hall, and the backyard area.

Who is Phuc Kien Pagoda worshiping?
The main hall of Phuc Kien Pagoda worships: God of Property,Thiên Hậu-the god of the sea, God of Wealth, twelve midwives and The queen created humans. God of thousand miles vision and God of thousand miles vision. These two gods have sponsorship, eyes to avoid storms and big waves. Praying for peace for the merchants.

why is it called a three-arched-entrances gate?
Brick is the main material used to build this building with the roof covered with yin and yang tiles, a feature of the old town architecture. It is called the three-arched-entrances gate because it has 3 gates with the meaning of heaven-earth-people. The main gate is only open on major holidays, 2 auxiliary gates, the left gate is for men, the right gate is for women.

Fortune, luck, peace and prosperity are the symbols of this statue. It is made from finely carved natural stone. The location of this statue is located right behind the door of the three gates.
The Dragon-The Qilin-The Turtle-The Fenghuang
Authority is the meaning of dragon, lucky is the symbol of Quilin, everlasting is the meaning of Turtle, Sky is The Fenghuang. Four statues are representing the power of wind, fire, land and water.
The meaning of incense rounds.
Each incense ring is a small wish of each person, each family entrusts to this place through a small yellow paper that is hung inside the ring. To pray for peace, fortune, and luck. This is the difference in temple tradition in Chinese and Vietnamese, each ring will burn for 1 month, if turned off, the people who take care of it will light it up again.

The main hall
This is the place of worship for Thiên Hậu-the god of the sea. This god brings luck and blesses peaceful for the fishermen on every trip. Besides, they also worship other gods like 12 midwives and 3 ecological queens, According to legend, humans were created by these 12 midwives, they teach Children to cry, children laugh. Usually, those who have difficulty having children often come to this place to pray for the blessing of 12 midwives to quickly conceive.The duty of these gods is to take care of and protect children.

This is a sacred place, so you need to pay attention to your attire when visiting this place. Need to dress modestly like ao dai, trousers or jeans. Do not dress too revealing when entering this place.
