Hello Pinmapple friends, how are you? I, at the end of the year, got emotional, and in these matters of emotions (which I hope to talk about in another post) going through my memories and photos, I found many, many photos of a place that I never showed you: the Parc de la Ciutadella, in Barcelona.

Yo, llegando fin de año, me puse emocional, y en estas cuestiones de emociones (que espero poder hablar en otro post) revolviendo mis memorias y mis fotos, encontré muchas, pero muchas fotos, de un lugar que nunca les mostré: el Parc de la Ciutadella, en Barcelona.
This place was beautiful and charming since I knew it, given that in Barcelona there are not many parks of this style, and that after knowing it, I decided to move nearby (literally, a block away) And with the arrival of the pandemic by Covid-19, the place to go for a walk and clear the mind was always and often, the park !
Este lugar fue hermoso y encantador desde que lo conocí, dado que en Barcelona no hay muchísimos parques de este estilo, y que después de conocerlo, decidí mudarme cerca (literalmente, a una cuadra) Y con la llegada de la pandemia por Covid-19, el sitio donde ir a pasear y despejar la mente fue siempre y frecuentemente, el parque !
I will avoid sharing the night photos, since most of them were skies or lights, incomprehensible for those who have never been there. The place is really huge, according to internet sources, more than 17 hectares. A place full of greenery, history, monuments, buildings inside as well, a greenhouse, a zoo, a nursery or kindergarten style space for children. All very cultural, artistic, and I think even university, meteorological and with a museum of natural sciences!
Evitaré compartir las fotos nocturnas, ya que en su mayoría eran cielos o luces, incomprensibles para quien nunca ha estado allí. El lugar es realmente enorme, según fuentes de internet, más de 17 hectáreas. Un lugar lleno de verde, de historia, de monumentos, edificios dentro también, un invernadero, un zoológico, un espacio para niños estilo guardería o jardín de infantes. Todo muy cultural, artístico, y creo que hasta universitario, meteorológico y con un museo de ciencias naturales!!

Pocas veces vi al mamut vacío de gente, siempre resultaba una fila enorme de personas que querían tomarse una foto. Que al fin, siendo el parque tan enorme, es normal que se llene de turistas, incluso de gente vendiendo mantas, o alguna otra chuchería.

Pasé en este parque mis mayores desolaciones, mis mayores tristezas, y mis peores noches, todo por caminar y vaciar la mente, me lo recorrí a tal punto que aunque me dejes en un sitio un poco escondido, sabré por donde salir.
Lo vi cambiar, estar lleno y estar vacío. Con reuniones de baile, grupos de zapateo, coreografías, músicos, y también, en pandemia, solo ratas y policías. Carteles de fumigación y cuidado si llevas a tu perro allí.

The lake is obviously the main attraction, I don't know if it is the center of the park, but it looks like it, here I have seen photo shoots, I have seen the fountains not working, I have seen storms from this view, let's see, it goes without saying that it was like the backyard of my own house. I spent hours and hours drawing while learning how to use the different shades of watercolors. A place that preserves a little piece of my heart, that led me to heal and forget for a while the problems to be happy with little, again.
El lago es evidentemente la atracción principal, no sé si sea el centro del parque, pero lo parece, aquí he visto sesiones de fotos, he visto las fuentes sin funcionar, he visto tormentas desde esta vista, a ver, no queda más que decirlo que era como el patio de mi propia casa. Me pasé horas y horas dibujando mientras aprendía a usar los distintos tonos de acuarelas. Un lugar que conserva un pedacito de mi corazón, que me llevó a sanar y a olvidar un rato los problemas para ser feliz con poco, otra vez.
The central waterfall in the form of an arch is extremely striking, the first few times it was so crowded that I didn't dare to go up. But then, when I started going in the early mornings, I saw many people climbing the steps exercising, and others just strolling, so I went up to see the view from there.

Crazy beautiful, the spaciousness, the architecture, the colors, and the view, of course! The sculptures have all their own particular history, I just remember some of them being Neptune and Leda, also Venus, and the griffins, which I called them "little horses" just for fun. Incredible to be able to see them from different perspectives and enjoy a while listening to the water gushing and gushing.
Friends, today I would like to have the park a block away, but as it is not so, I will go for a walk in search of another park in my city, to maybe show you next time where to run away if you are in Buenos Aires and want to breathe some green, nature and find your peace.
Una locura hermosa, la amplitud, la arquitectura, los colores, y la vista, claro que sí! Las esculturas tienen toda su historia particular, solo recuerdo que algunos de ellos son Neptuno y Leda, también Venus, y los grifos, que yo los llamaba “caballitos” solo por diversión. Increíble poder verlos desde distintas perspectivas y disfrutar un rato de escuchar el agua brotar y brotar.
Amigos, en el día de hoy quisiera tener el parque a una cuadra, pero como no es así, me iré de paseo en busca de otro parque en mi ciudad, para quizás mostrarles la próxima vez donde huir si estas en buenos aires y quieres respirar un poco de verde, naturaleza y encontrar tu paz.
