Greetings my dear friends of Pinmapple, I am glad to be with you in this opportunity, to tell you about a little corner of my city that is undoubtedly a real beauty and which I would love you all to have the opportunity to know, at least by photos and a small video.
Aragua state is a true tourist paradise, full of options to enjoy and have fun. Here you will find beaches, rivers, mountains and much more, all designed to have a great time. Today, I want to tell you about a special place: Las Cocuizas, a recreational area located in the Henri Pittier National Park, north of the state capital, on the same road that takes you to the charming town of Choroní.
Saludos mis queridos amigos de Pinmapple, me alegra estar con ustedes en ersta oportunidad, para hablarles de un rinconcito de mi ciudad que es sin duda una verdadera belleza y el cual me encantaría que todos tuvieran la oportunidad de conocer, por lo menos por fotos y un pequeño video.
El estado Aragua es un verdadero paraíso turístico, repleto de opciones para disfrutar y divertirse. Aquí encontrarás playas, ríos, montañas y mucho más, todo pensado para pasar un rato agradable. Hoy, quiero contarte sobre un lugar especial: Las Cocuizas, un área recreativa ubicada en el Parque Nacional Henri Pittier, al norte de la capital del estado, en la misma ruta que te lleva al encantador pueblo de Choroní.
Las Cocuizas is located in the heart of the national park, on the northern slope of the majestic Coastal Mountain Range. This place offers a wide variety of recreational activities in an exceptional natural environment. And the best part is its privileged location, just 30 km from the city of Maracay, the state capital. In addition, public transportation leaves you right at the park's entrance, which is ideal for many travelers. Here, a mountain climate and refreshing natural pools, created especially for young and old to enjoy, await you. The water is really fresh, so it is worth diving in and having a good time.
Las Cocuizas se encuentra en el corazón del parque nacional, en la vertiente norte de la majestuosa Cordillera de la Costa. Este lugar te ofrece una amplia variedad de actividades recreativas en un entorno natural excepcional. Y lo mejor es su ubicación privilegiada, a tan solo 30 km de la ciudad de Maracay, la capital del estado. Además, el transporte público te deja justo en la entrada del parque, lo cual es ideal para muchos viajeros. Aquí, te espera un clima de montaña y refrescantes pozos naturales, creados especialmente para que grandes y pequeños disfruten. El agua puede ser un poco fría, pero vale la pena sumergirse y pasar un buen rato.
The entrance to Las Cocuizas is free, they only ask for a voluntary collaboration for the maintenance of the facilities, but if you can't give it, don't worry, you can still enter. Inside the recreational area you will find parking areas, public restrooms and picnic areas. In addition, if you wish to obtain more information and discover the secrets of this place, you have the option of hiring local guides who will show you the tours and provide you with additional information about the area. Las Cocuizas is open to the public from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm.
La entrada a Las Cocuizas es gratuita, solo te piden una colaboración voluntaria para el mantenimiento de las instalaciones, pero si no puedes darla, no te preocupes, de todos modos, puedes ingresar. Dentro del área recreativa encontrarás áreas de estacionamiento, baños públicos y espacios para hacer picnic. Además, si deseas obtener más información y descubrir los secretos de este lugar, tienes la opción de contratar a guías locales que te mostrarán los recorridos y te brindarán datos adicionales sobre la zona. Las Cocuizas abre sus puertas al público desde las 9:00 am hasta las 4:00 pm.
I must confess that, despite being from this city, it was my first time visiting Las Cocuizas and, honestly, I was delighted. I did not want to get out of the water, I felt in total harmony with the environment. We headed towards one of the most desired spots in the area, a place that houses a beautiful waterfall, where I could enjoy and relax with the falling water and the sounds of nature. Visiting on a weekday, I was lucky to find less people than usual, as weekends are usually busier.
Debo confesarte que, a pesar de ser de esta ciudad, fue mi primera vez visitando Las Cocuizas y, sinceramente, quedé encantada. No quería salir del agua, a pesar de la temperatura, me sentía en total armonía con el entorno. Nos dirigimos hacia uno de los puntos más anhelados del área, un lugar que alberga una hermosa cascada, donde pude disfrutar y relajarme con la caída del agua y los sonidos de la naturaleza. Al visitar un día de semana, tuve la suerte de encontrar menos gente de lo habitual, ya que los fines de semana suele ser más concurrido.
Las Cocuizas is the perfect place to spend a quiet day. You don't need to dive into the river to fully enjoy it, you can simply spend the day admiring the natural beauty and find a moment of peace. Here, you will be away from the hustle and bustle of the city and you can connect with the tranquility that only nature can offer.
Las Cocuizas es el sitio perfecto para pasar un día tranquilo. No es necesario sumergirse en el río para disfrutarlo plenamente, simplemente puedes pasar el día admirando la belleza natural y encontrar un momento de paz. Aquí, estarás alejado del bullicio de la ciudad y podrás conectarte con la tranquilidad que solo la naturaleza puede ofrecer.

But I understand what you mean when you talk about a place as beautiful as this and that also transmits magic. Este lugar es muy bonito y está muy cerca de la ciudad, solo es cuestión de tomar un bus de ruta urbana. Alli se disfruta muchísimo del ambiente natural, su cascada es muy refrescante especialmente en los días de mucho calor en Maracay.
Esta es una opción ideal para estar en contacto con la naturaleza y además es de entrada libre.

Sabes que después de lo que pasó el año pasado con las lluvias por esta zona, quise ver qué tan afectada se encontraba esta área, gracias a Dios, como bien mencionas, está perfecta para el disfrute de todos los maracayeros, es un gran espacio para compartir un día entre familia y amigos.
Que hermoso lugar, se ven tan relajante estar ahi y disfrutar de lo que nos ofrece la naturaleza, ese rio se ve divino. Definitivamente nuestro pais tiene muchos sitios que aun no conocemos, y por eso es importante hacer turismo local, y también compartir estos lugares por esta via para promocionarlos. ❤️
