To begin with, let me tell you that Fez is one of the oldest imperial cities in Morocco and has a very rich history. As you walk through the medina of Fez, you can see many historic buildings, narrow streets and bustling markets. The medina of Fez is a fascinating city in Morocco that is home to one of the largest pedestrian areas in the world. Its narrow, winding streets are filled with traditional souks, stalls, artisan workshops and many historical sites.

There is so much to see and do in Fez! A must-do activity is to visit the city's famous tanneries, which have been producing leather for centuries. You can also visit beautifully decorated madrasas, interesting museums and historic mosques. When you enter the medina of Fez, you will be greeted by ornate gates such as the famous Bab Boujloud gate. Traditional Moroccan architecture is everywhere, offering a unique cultural experience. Take time to explore the different neighborhoods of the medina, each with its own charm and attractions.

Be sure to shop in the city's many souks, where you can find local handicrafts such as carpets, jewelry, leather clothing and much more. The jewelry district is a must-see in the medina of Fez. You will find beautiful silver, gold and gemstone jewelry, handcrafted by local artisans. The stores in this neighborhood are full of sparkling treasures, so don't hesitate to treat yourself to a little souvenir.

The medina of Fez is also home to many historical sites, such as the Karaouine Mosque, one of the oldest universities in the world, or the Bou Inania Medersa, a beautifully decorated Koranic school. You can also visit the royal palace of Fez, the Dar Batha museum or the Zaouia Moulay Idriss II, an important place of pilgrimage for Muslims.

But what impressed me the most in Fez was the delicious food! The city is famous for its tasty tagines, delicious couscous and sweet pastries. You absolutely must try the pastilla, a Moroccan specialty made with chicken and almonds, it's a real treat! So don't forget to try the delicious Moroccan cuisine during your visit to the medina of Fez. Restaurants and street stalls offer a variety of tasty dishes. Fresh fruit juices are also very popular and refreshing.

Fez is a charming and historic city that is definitely worth a visit on your trip to Morocco. I hope you have the opportunity to discover it and enjoy all it has to offer!
