I don't know if there are cities in your country that are covered with colorful flowers all year round? In our country Vietnam, there is such a city, this place is known as the city of thousands of flowers, the name city is Da Lat.
Da Lat is an official city of Lam Dong province on Lam Vien Plateau in the Central Highlands of Vietnam. Da Lat is located at an altitude of about 1,500m above sea level, with a total area of about 394,6 km². This place is favored by nature for a mild, cool, and fresh climate all year round, and is covered with fog in the early morning and evening creating a scene that is always poetic in the eyes of many people. The average temperature in this city is about 20°C.

The weather here is divided into two distinct seasons, the rainy season starts from July to late October, early November, and the dry season starts from November to May, July years later. The rainy season here usually lasts from day to day, starting from noon to afternoon or sometimes to evening, while the dry season is usually sunny, but the sun in Da Lat is not too harsh compared to other areas on the plains or the sea, because this place is quite a high land, the mountainous terrain alternating with valleys creates a special climate for this place that anyone who comes here for the first time, will want to come back a second time, and more again. I'm one of those people.

Because Da Lat is a very large city, including the surrounding areas and there are many places to have fun and explore. I have had the opportunity to go to this beautiful city 3 times, but I still want to go many more times because this place has so many attractions for me. I really like the climate here, the climate is mild like in Europe, the day may be sunny, but in the early morning or afternoon and evening, you have to put on warm clothes, thick sweaters because at night, the temperature will drop below 17°C, with the months of November and December sometimes the temperature will drop to about 10-11 °C. If you don't put on thick warm clothes, you will get freezing cold. And because of the cold weather like this, I rarely get it in Da Nang city where I live, so I really like to come here to enjoy this weather. In addition, the air here is quite fresh, because Da Lat is covered mainly by green trees, mostly pine forests, which are a species of conifers that we often see in Europe. As long as they can live lush and abundant here, you can imagine the weather here is similar to Europe. Da Lat is also a city with very little smog, it seems that this place never has air or noise pollution like big cities. Therefore, Da Lat is a great city for your holiday choice.

In recent years, Da Lat is gradually developing, so when you come here you have a lot of choices for your accommodation, you can stay at a hotel, or a lovely, romantic homestay right in the heart of the city or suburban area with green pine hills. The price for a room for you to rest here is also very reasonable, if you want a nice view, the price will be a little more expensive. Da Lat has many places for you to visit and explore from the city center to the surrounding areas of the city and neighboring districts of Lam Dong province. Famous places to visit in Da Lat such as Lam Vien square, Da Lat market, Valley of Love, Dalat flower garden, Lang Biang, Ve Chai Pagoda, Cau Dat tea hill, Cam Tu flower garden Bridge, La Phong Tourist Area, Kombi Land, Datanla Waterfall, Cam Ly Waterfall, Bao Dai Palace... and countless other interesting attractions that I cannot list them all here. With the cool and temperate climate, Da Lat is known as the city of thousands of flowers with the peaceful Xuan Huong lake. There are many different types of flowers grown here, some of which are imported from abroad. Because the weather is quite favorable, the flowers here bloom all year round with many brilliant colors, it becomes a special feature for the city on this Lam Vien plateau. When visiting eco-tourism gardens, you will admire the colorful flower gardens, get lost in scenes like this, your soul will be healed and relaxed to the fullest. And this place deserves top marks for a stay.

In addition, Da Lat is also a paradise of coffee shops. The special thing is that the view of the coffee shops here is very wonderful, most of them will have a view of the valley, the silver pine forest, or the valleys with glasshouses, inside which are grown strawberries, flowers, or clean vegetable gardens that only Da Lat has glasshouses like this, and it is considered a "specialty" of this place. Besides, pine hill is also a feature of Da Lat, famous for Thien Phuc Duc Pine Hill, Da Phu Hill, and Bo Bo Hill. Standing on the top of the hill, you can see the scenery below the valley, the greenhouses with clouds floating over the city, hear the wind blowing through the small pine needles, all of this creates a charming and poetic scene that only Da Lat has.

Going further than the city center, you can visit the extremely majestic waterfalls that nature has given you on this land located on this plateau such as Dambri waterfall, Lien Khuong waterfall, Bobla waterfall, Bao Dai waterfall, waterfall Voi, Pongour waterfall ... these are the most beautiful waterfalls of Da Lat city, but I have only had the opportunity to go to a few places, the locations are often scattered and far from the city center, so it is easy to explore all of them what this wonderful nature gives you will take a lot of time for this place.

One more suggestion for you if you come to Da Lat, that is definitely you have to go to Da Lat night market. This is a crowded market in this city. The night market is very large, selling souvenirs, clothes, specialties such as strawberries, crispy persimmons, dried fruits, artichoke flowers, jam cakes... Next to it is a food court with a lot of delicious dishes. Coming to Da Lat, we must mention the grilled rice paper and soy milk. Grilled rice paper is a dish for me that only Da Lat is the best, the cake is made from thin rice paper, with meat, sausage, and quail eggs mixed together with spices, then spread on a plate. Rice paper and baked on a charcoal stove, after the cake and filling are done, the seller will add chili sauce and butter sauce to make the cake both fatty and spicy mixed together. With the night weather below 17 °C, feeling chilly and chilling to the body, enjoying crispy and fatty baked rice paper, drinking a glass of hot soy milk, it's an extremely wonderful feeling, but most of all. Definitely, you must try when coming to Dalat night market.

Dalat also has a famous specialty that is strawberries. This is a place to experiment and successfully grow plant varieties imported from abroad. Visiting the strawberry gardens and directly picking strawberries at the garden is an experience you cannot miss when coming to this city of thousands of flowers. Most people here grow strawberries, there are 2 ways to grow strawberries: growing in a greenhouse or growing outside in the garden. If strawberries are grown in a greenhouse, they will not be affected by external influences such as rain, wind, insects, etc., so the berries grown in this house will be large, beautiful and when ripe, they will be succulent. As for strawberries grown in garden soil, they will give smaller fruits, with rough skin or not very pleasing to the eye due to the influence of weather and insects.

Therefore, the price of strawberries when grown in this different form will also vary quite a bit. But with any type of strawberry, their quality is still excellent, the strawberries are plump and juicy. I once experienced strawberry picking at a strawberry garden, it was very interesting. I get to pick the best and ripest strawberries myself, pick them and eat them in the garden, and then bring them to the garden owner to pay, of course, they won't charge you for what you ate. With the most interesting and wonderful things from this city of thousands of flowers called Da Lat, to the gentle people of the people here, Da Lat is a perfect choice for a vacation with your family and friends.
