The advertising brochure promised the presence of a chic archaeological park in the form of ancient Greek temples and an ancient theater ...
Well, said and done, and after 25 minutes we were at the entrance to the park. But what is it, some mafioso in a cap closed the entrance to the parking lot, and with an unmistakable gesture sends all visitors somewhere far away ... Here you need to interrupt. Learn from the Sicilians how to create jobs out of the blue! Some suspicious person fenced off a piece of land in the field, and began to receive a good income in euros ...
We wait for our turn, ask the question why he does not let us into the free parking and find out that there is an excellent parking for tourists 2 kilometers from the main entrance to the park. I try to argue that I do not want to put the car in a "great parking lot", I want to park the car here, right at the entrance - but everything is in vain, the mafia is sending me away ...
I am beginning to have doubts. Why is that parking lot better than this. What is the main rule for a driver in Europe? If you see a free parking lot - take it and do not tempt fate! What is the point for me to go somewhere from such a huge area at the very entrance to the park?
But we are guests here, and therefore we obey. So, we drive in the direction of about 2 km, then we park in a huge parking lot. Yeah, that's the parking prices!
Now the main show begins. The artistic young man explains to us that we need to buy a ticket to the park at the box office (another job!), And then we need to wait for the half-asleep bus driver (another job), who will take you back to the main entrance to the park ...
The sleepy lazy man has enough imagination to draw the passengers' attention to the tip jar!
The bus slowly moves towards the park. At the entrance to the park there is a booth in which two employees who check tickets (two more workplaces) sit in turn ...
The main attraction of the park is the restored Doric temple, which looks great against the backdrop of a magnificent landscape ... But where is the antique theater ?! And then we find out that we need to pay another one and a half euros for ANOTHER bus! Don't you want to pay? Then go on foot up the hill ... We became stubborn and proudly walked up the serpentine ... Walked, walked, walked, walked ... Soaked through with sweat! As Monsieur Chevalier de Brillies said - "Stubbornness is the dignity of donkeys!"
The theater frankly disappointed us. They would write honestly - not a theater, but the remains of a small theater! For a couple of stones to walk 5 km up the hill! A tired traveler will be a little comforted by a gorgeous panorama opening from the top of the mountain. In places like this one always wonders. And how did people get here in ancient times. After all, then they did not have cars. And they were carrying food, building materials. How was it during the wars? Go up the serpentine with a weapon in your hands, and even overcoming the enemy's resistance! Yes, life was not easy
Summing up, I want to write to you, oh, reader, that if you want to kill extra time and you have extra money, then you probably will not be disappointed with a visit to this park. But I want to note: in comparison with ancient theaters, for example, the same Turkey, this park looks rather unconvincing ...

Сицилия - остров чудес, Сицилия - большая и одновременно маленькая... До отлёта у нас оставалось около 6 часов. Нам нужно было как-то убить оставшееся время. Мы поразмышляли и решили заехать в местечко Сегеста. Рекламный проспект обещал наличие шикарного археологического парка в виде древнегреческих храмов и античного театра...
Что ж, сказано-сделано, и спустя 25 минут мы оказались у входа в парк. Но что это, какой-то мафиози в кепке закрыл вход на парковку, и жестом не оставляющим сомнений отправляет всех посетителей куда-то далеко... Здесь нужно прерваться. Учитесь у сицилийцев, как создавать на ровном месте рабочие места! Какой-то подозрительный субъект огородил забором кусок земли в поле, и стал получать неплохой доход в евро...
Мы дожидаемся своей очереди, задаем вопрос почему он не пускает нас на бесплатную парковку и узнаём, что есть отличная стоянка для туристов в 2 километрах от главного входа в парк. Я пытаюсь возражать, что не хочу ставить машину на "отличную стоянку", я хочу поставить машину здесь, прямо у входа - но всё тщетно, мафиози отсылает меня куда-то подальше...
У меня начинают появляться сомнения. Чем та стоянка лучше этой. Какое главное правило для водителя в Европе? Если ты видишь свободную парковку - бери её и не испытывай судьбу!Какой смысл мне ехать куда-то с такой огромной площадки у самого входа в парк?
Но мы гости здесь, и поэтому мы подчиняемся. Итак, мы едем в сторону примерно 2 км, затем паркуемся на огромной парковке. Ага, вот и цены на парковку!
Теперь начинается основное шоу. Артистичный юноша объясняет нам, что нужно купить билет в парк в кассе (ещё одно рабочее место!), а затем нужно подождать полусонного водителя автобуса (ещё одно рабочее место), который доставит вас назад к главному входу в парк...
У сонного лентяя хватает фантазии обращать внимание пассажиров на баночку для чаевых!
Автобус не спеша двигается к парку. На входе в парк стоит будка, в которой почередно сидят два работника проверяющих билеты (еще два рабочих места)...
Основная достопримечательность парка - восстановленный дорический храм, который великолепно смотрится на фоне великолепного пейзажа... А где же античный театр?! И тут мы узнаем, что нужно заплатить ещё полтора евро за ДРУГОЙ автобус! Ты не хочешь платить? Тогда иди пешком в гору... Мы заупрямились и гордо побрели вверх по серпантину... Шли-шли-шли-шли... Промокли от пота насквозь! Как говорил месьё шевалье Де Брильи - "Упрямство - достоинство ослов!"
Театр нас откровенно разочаровал. Написали бы честно - не театр, а остатки маленького театра! Ради пары камней идти пешком 5 км в гору! Усталого путника немного утешат шикарная панорама открывающаяся с вершины горы. В таких местах всегда задаешься вопросом. А как сюда добирались люди в древние времена. Ведь тогда у них не было машин. А они несли на себе продукты, строительные материалы. А как это было во время войн? Пройти вверх по серпантину с оружием в руках, да еще и преодолевая сопротивление противника! Да, жизь была непроста
Подводя итог хочу написать тебе, о, читатель, что если тебе захочется убить лишнее время и и у тебя есть лишние деньги, то, наверное ты не будешь разочарован посещением данного парка. Но я хочу заметить: в сравнении с античными театрами, к примеру той же Турции, данный парк смотрится довольно неубедительно...
