Hello beautiful people of Pinmapple! ✨ I hope you are very well, today I want to talk to you about a beautiful town that I had the opportunity to visit a few months ago and is called La Azulita, this beautiful town is the capital of the Andrés Bello Municipality of the Mérida State - Venezuela. 🇻🇪
La Azulita is located at 1,135 meters above sea level and its average temperature is between 17 and 25 °C, its name is due to the bluish color of the neighboring mountains. This town is dedicated to growing coffee from early on, but today tourism is one of its main economic activities, both the one that takes place in the town and ecotourism in the surrounding mountains. 🏔
Hola gente bella de Pinmapple! ✨ Espero se encuentren súper bien, el día de hoy quiero hablarles de un hermoso pueblo que tuve la oportunidad de visitar hace unos meses atrás y tiene como nombre La Azulita, este hermoso pueblo es la capital del Municipio Andrés Bello del Estado Mérida - Venezuela. 🇻🇪
La Azulita se encuentra ubicada a 1.135 m.s.n.m y su temperatura promedio es entre los 17 y 25 °C, su nombre se debe al color azulado de las montañas vecinas. Este pueblo se dedica desde temprano al cultivo de café, pero hoy en día el turismo es una de sus principales actividades económicas, tanto el que se hace en el pueblo como el ecoturismo en las montañas circundantes. 🏔
We left the day before at 10:00 p.m. in order to reach our first destination at 6:00 a.m., which was the town of La Azulita, where we visited Plaza Bolívar and the Sanctuary of the Immaculate Conception of La Azulita, we went to a restaurant located in the town and we had breakfast, then we started our tour to the other tourist sites, we went to the Las Cuevas del Quebradón Ecotourism Park or also called La Cueva del Pirata, this included a guide through the caves, but before introducing us to the caves we took multiple photos of our tourists, both individually and in groups, while a group placed their equipment to perform the zip line, and at the end of the zip line we all headed to the famous Cueva del Pirata, they are a set of limestone caves, located in the Park National Sierra de La Culata, these caves have two entrance and exit mouths. These caves are due to erosion and the effect of water, in the photos you can see its pointed rocks. Inside this cave inhabit bats, insects and birds. 🦇
Salimos el día anterior a las 10:00pm para poder llegar a nuestro primer destino a las 6:00am, el cual fué el pueblo de La Azulita, dónde visitamos la Plaza Bolívar y el Santuario de la Inmaculada Concepción de La Azulita, fuimos a un restaurante ubicado en el pueblo y desayunamos, luego iniciamos nuestro recorrido hacia los demás sitios turísticos, nos dirigimos hacia el Parque Ecoturístico Las Cuevas del Quebradón o también llamada La Cueva del Pirata, esté incluía una guiatura por las cuevas, pero antes de introducirnos a las cuevas tomamos múltiples fotos a nuestros turistas, tanto individuales como grupales, mientras un grupo le colocaban su equipo para realizar tirolina, y al finalizar todos la tirolina nos dirigimos a la famosa Cueva del Pirata, son un conjunto de cuevas calizas, ubicadas en el Parque Nacional Sierra de La Culata, estás cuevas cuentan con dos bocas de entrada y salida. Estás cuevas son debidas a la erosión y el efecto del agua, en las fotos se puede apreciar sus rocas puntiagudas. Dentro de esta cueva habitan murciélagos, insectos y aves. 🦇
At the end of our tour in the Cueva del Pirata we headed towards the La Palmita Waterfall where we plunged into its cold waters, while other tourists had lunch or did canyoning, canyoning is descent on ropes down the waterfall. This waterfall is one of the main ones in the Andrés Bello Municipality, it has three waterfalls that allow us to enjoy it, its height is 25 meters and its waters are born from the town of La Uva in the Montero ravine, joining the Las Piedras ravine in the town San Rafael. It was decreed on April 22, 1990 Municipal Natural Monument. 💦
At the end we returned to our beloved Maracaibo, but before we made a stop in a town for dinner, I decided to eat a delicious pizza and I can say that it was the best pizza I've ever had 😋, it was an incredible experience, both tourists and us guides we had an excellent time, in short, this is an experience that cannot be missed, it is very nice to see that people take their time to get to know a little piece of Venezuela, I hope that with this they are encouraged to know a little more about my land. 🇻🇪❤️
Al terminar nuestro recorrido en la Cueva del Pirata nos dirigimos hacia la Cascada La Palmita dónde nos zambullimos en sus aguas frías, mientras otros turistas almorzaban o realizaban canyoning, canyoning es descenso en cuerdas por la cascada. Está cascada es una de las principales del Municipio Andrés Bello, cuenta con tres caídas de agua que nos permiten disfrutar de ella, su altura es de 25mts y sus aguas nacen del pueblo La Uva en quebrada Montero uniéndose en la quebrada Las Piedras en el pueblo San Rafael. Fué decretada el 22 de abril de 1990 Monumento Natural Municipal. 💦
Al finalizar retornamos hacia nuestro querido Maracaibo, pero antes realizamos una parada en un pueblo para cenar, yo decidí comer una deliciosa pizza y puedo decir que ha sido la mejor pizza que he probado 😋, fué una experiencia increíble, tanto los turistas como nosotros los guías lo pasamos excelente, en definitiva está es una experiencia que no se pueden perder, es muy lindo ver qué las personas se tomen su tiempo para conocer un pedacito de Venezuela, espero que con esto se animen a conocer un poco más de mi tierra. 🇻🇪❤️

Mérida es uno de los lugares donde me gustaría vivir por el tiempo suficiente para recorrer cada rincón jeje.
Es muy hermoso y hace frío, aquí en Lara está haciendo mucho calor jejeje.
