one of the photos that most Venezuelan families have in their homes is this one. (at least the families that live in sucre).
It is a street called "calle santa inés", well, I think it is more like an alley. The name of the alley/street is due to the proximity of the "Iglesia de Santa Inés", something very curious about this part of the historical center of the city is the fact that beyond looking beautiful and being part of the life of the plain people, is the real purpose of its construction.

In ancient times, Cumaná was a place that lived a time of wars and conflicts, in addition, many cities had to face foreign attacks. So most of the alleys served as strategic access points, to shield and easily access the enemy.
Something very nice about this place are the large windows of each house, you could appreciate the entrance of light and fresh air of the day to the interior. All these hoses have been built with "bahareque", a construction material composed of: bars or cans, also mud and straw. Obviously it has been maintained over time with reinforcements, have merited the use of the current material of manufacture (cement) but without modifying its main structure.

This is one of the parts of the historical center that attracts my attention , because you feel like transported in that age. This place be part of my way for going at my workplace, so... everiday, I feel inside of a painting C:
