Serravalle it's a city situated in the middle valley between Florence, Prato and Pistoia it also have a little hill with a popular castle, here you can find an old part of the city and a new part with a lot of factories and shops and car sellers shops.
The area around the serravalle center its quite big and many people live there.
We can say that the castle is the living cevtert and the hystorical center of Serravalle, because everything was build around it. There is a little walk for visit it in the steer and in the green fields, we visited it in a windy day and it was so cool and fresh.
In the 16 century the castle was very important for all the population, they use it for defense but also for exchanges and economy. It was under Lucca but it had the best days under Florence with Cosimo de medici.
Here there are too many little churches, most of people are catholics and a lot of the habitants are from east Europe, Romania or Albania. It's a big community.
In that city there is no much green spaces but there are some parks around the castles and a lot of lovely houses and cute corners. Most of the houses are old and charming.
It's really a lovely place, if you visit Pistoia you must have a stop to see this castle!!
