A stroll through the small village of San Momme in autumn part 2, the autumnal village.

Good evening, blog friends, how are you? Here I am with the second part of my trip to the small village of San Momme. You can find the first part of my journey here:

Regarding this small village, also beloved by Matilda of Canossa, I believe it is at its best in autumn. After strolling through the square and seeing the church, we decided to wander through some of the alleys and discovered that almost all of the village's alleys lead to forest trails. The forest is an integral part of the village, but to go for a walk in the autumn woods, you need to be somewhat equipped with suitable footwear and walking poles, which unfortunately we weren't. However, we promised ourselves that in the future we'd try to explore some trails because we really enjoy walking in the woods. San Momme is made up of small houses, almost all close together. Some are fairly modern terraced houses, almost all well-maintained, while others are traditional, gray stone houses, very beautiful to look at and with thick walls. Winters here are cold, as it's a mountainous area, and it often snows or the road freezes, and the temperature here is much lower than in my village. Very few people stay here in the winter, mostly elderly people, with a few young people and families.

I love San Momme this season. After wandering through some peaceful alleys, we also visited the small village park, also a riot of autumn trees. The park was empty at the time, but in the summer, various events and festivals are held here, and even during the Christmas holidays, there are some events selling local products like chestnut jam, honey, and other chestnut-based products and dairy products. Despite being small, San Momme is very lively and popular in the summer. Unfortunately, however, it has some structural problems; the road leading to it often collapses, forcing residents to take countless detours to get to town. The same thing happens when it freezes over and the snowplows forget about this little village. However, for a quick visit or a quick getaway, it's very pretty and can be explored in a few hours. If you plan ahead, there are numerous hiking trails, and this village is an excellent starting point for hikers. It's also surrounded by chestnut woods, making it perfect for chestnut hunting or mushroom hunting. If you love the woods, I highly recommend it. It's a charming, quiet village where you can take a quiet walk surrounded by old houses and nature. A little gem hidden in the mountains.

Probably steady hands because I was walking fast while I'm photography 😂😂 my fault I need to stop for photos but my husband say to me " hurry"😂

next time leave the husband at home 😜

San Momme is a beautiful place to visit. It is a beautiful place actually and I think it is more beautiful when it is summer where there are lots of people just like what you said. I also like the way you describe the place and how you find ways like detours for those who will be planning to go there. Soon, I will also visit this place.
