In these days the weather has improved more and here in Tuscany when the weather is good but still not excellent there are many people who go to the Terme di Saturnia, a journey for us of about a couple of hours, but which is worth the worth it, the spas are well known everywhere because in addition to being very beautiful and spacious, they are free to enter, which is very rare. To get there, you have to take a little walk because the terrain is a bit rough, I recommend going there in autumn either spring or even winter because in the meantime it's wonderful to bathe in hot water when it's cold outside then because there's less weather, during the summer it's difficult to find a free place to put a towel or a tub to soak in rhythm.
The thermal baths are made with climbing tanks, I recommend non-slip shoes so as not to fall, before arriving you will immediately feel the smell of sulfur, typical of Deppe Terme, the water is at 37 degrees and flows from a single thermal spring, there is also a paid resort if you want to enjoy more services including spa and restaurant, however near the free spas there is a small bar where you can refresh yourself. We have been to the spa several times but not so often due to the distance, this time we were there only one afternoon and we swam for a short time because then the sky darkened. However it was pleasant and I can't wait to go back maybe at night where you can camp and enjoy the stars in the warm water.
