How to get your posts Pinned and Curated by Pinmapple?

in Pinmapple2 years ago

Hello!

Not Sure this is the right place to post this, I'm a newbie and still have lots of things to learn. I've joined Hive about 3 weeks ago and I've been enjoying reading all the amazing posts from the Pinmapple community.

After reading the Tutorial by @louis88 How to use pinmapple.com i wanted to contribute. I'm a fan of Scandinavian Design and Architecture and I've wrote 3 posts on the APlusD Community about the Oslo Opera House, The Fjordhouse in Vejle DK and my latest just this morning about the LEGO House in Billund (Denmark as well).

Because all 3 buildings are totally or partially open to the public and a popular tourist destination, I though that they could be of interest to travel fans from this community. So, following the instructions from the Tutorial, I added the code from Pinmapple.com at the bottom of each article and i tagged the pinmapple community on the post.

A couple of hours after posting the article I received the confirmation comment here below:

I was very excited when I saw that it had worked but my posts don't show up in the pinmapple community feed or on the pinmapple map neither.

- Do they need to be manually curated by pinmapple to appear in the map? I must have done something wrong or missed a step!

- Do I need to crosspost it to the pinmapple community after I posted it to AplusD?

- If I cross post does it count as a new post and therefore use HP? Do the upvotes received in the crosspost count for rewards? As a newbie my HP is very limited and precious LOL

Here's a link to the 3 posts in question:

Your help and comments are much appreciated. In the mean time have a great weekend and time see you all in the Hive!

Hi there @parmengo, first of all, great to see you adding your posts to Pinmapple. In response to your questions:

  1. All the posts you pinned onto Pinmapple can be found here https://pinmapple.com/@parmengo. This is your personal Pinmapple link. By default, when you access the main Pinmapple page https://pinmapple.com/ it will show all the posts we have curated. If you click on Filter the map, you will see Best travel posts only, those are the posts we have curated.

  2. You don't have to cross post to the Pinmapple community if you posted in another community, but you can if you think your post is suitable for the community. However you have to bear in mind, cross posting too much may make your blog look very spammy sometimes.

  3. Every transaction on the blockchain uses resource credits (which is based on how much HP you have) and cross posting counts as a transaction. A cross post is considered a new post but by default the rewards are declined because in the past some people have abused this function and keep on cross posting to earn more rewards for the same content.
