It was a nice warm summer day and on my way home from a twenty-kilometer hike through the Western Tatras, I stopped in the village of Trstené. I stopped here to see a church that I had no idea existed. I found out by chance when I was studying a tourist route at home, which I wanted to take.
Bol pekný teplý letný deň a ja som sa cestou domov z dvadsať kilometrovej túry po Západných Tatrách zastavil v dedinke Trstené. Zastavil som sa tu s cieľom pozrieť si kostol, o ktorom som doteraz netušil, že vôbec existuje. Dozvedel som sa to náhodou, keď som doma študoval turistickú trasu, na ktorú som sa chcel vydať.
This beautiful small church from the 13th century was built on a small hill on the outskirts of the village. They built it in the form of a rectangular nave and a semicircular apse. It has been rebuilt several times during its existence. One of the reconstructions was to be carried out in 1349 in the Gothic style.
Tento nádherný malý kostolík z 13. storočia postavili na malej vyvýšenine na okraji obce. Postavili ho v podobe obdĺžnikovej lode a polkrujovej apsidy. Počas svojej existencie bol niekoľko krát prestavaný. Jedna z prestávb mala byť uskutočnená v roku 1349 do gotického štýlu.
In 1635, a wooden bell tower was erected a few meters away, which gives it a unique look.
V roku 1635 vystavali niekoľko metrov od neho drevenú zvonicu, čo mu dodáva jedinečný vzhľad.
I didn't get to the day, but my little walk was still worth it.
