Zejmar Gorge and Geravy / Zejmarská roklina a Geravy

I wrote this article in two languages. In English and Slovak language.

It's a nice weekend and we spend the night with my wife's grandmother in the village Nálepkovo. We would like to go on a not very demanding trip to take advantage of this beautiful weather. I opened a website with a tourist theme and after researching the options we have, we decided.

The choice fell on the Zejmar gorge. It is one of the smaller gorges in the Slovak Paradise National Park. However, this in no way detracts from its attractiveness.

We get in the car and go to the village of Dedinky, where our hike begins. There is a large parking lot right next to the Palcmanská Maša reservoir.

According to data from the Internet, today we have a six-kilometer hike with an elevation gain of 365 meters.

Following the red tourist sign, we come to the mouth of the Zejmar gorge and enter the gorge.

Along the forest path, next to the stream we climb slightly.

We walk around smaller or larger waterfalls, just as we play for hiking in the Slovak Paradise.

The waterfalls in the gorge are named after Captain Sticker. He was a World War II hero. He worked as a teacher in the nearby village of Biele vody.

After crossing the lower part, we got to probably the most beautiful part of the gorge. Iron footrests and chains lead us to Sticker Waterfall. We overcome it with the help of a ladder.

From its top is a beautiful view between the trees to a wide area.

We walk a few more meters and we are up.

We went to the Gerava plain. On a large meadow we see a fence in which there are animals. we come to her and find that she is inhabited by hares and wild boars. We pack our backs from our backs, tear the grass and feed the bunnies while resting. It is a pleasant diversification of today's tour.

After a break, we continue along the green tourist sign. We return through the forest to the village of Dedinky, where we have a parked car. We walk around Palcmenská Maša. If I was after an eight-hour hike, I would probably consider refreshing myself here, but I won't step into it after less than three hours. I already bathed in it and I can say that the water is not the warmest.

Although the Zejmar Gorge is not the largest gorge in the Slovak Paradise, it is definitely worth a visit. There are beautiful waterfalls, ladders and views of the Slovak Paradise. It is definitely suitable for less able tourists who want to see the Slovak Paradise.

well thank you

Prejdeme ešte pár metrov a sme hore.

Skladáme si z chrbta batohy, trháme trávu a popri oddychu zajačiky kŕmime.

Wow. You have to be careful when you're there, it's definitely slippery.

Yes, it is good to wear hiking boots because it slides on wet stones.
