I often have a habit of going alone, then my most reliable friend is a motorbike that has accompanied me to many places.

I just had my New Year's road trip by motorbike.

The goal of this journey is that I want to explore the northern land of the Central Highlands - Vietnam.

wind power in Dak Nong

I started from Ho Chi Minh City along Highway 14, passing Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Dak Nong, Dak Lak provinces to come to Pleiku city, Gia Lai province.
It took me 8 hours to drive a motorbike continuously for 600km. With the traffic situation in Vietnam, it is quite fast speed.
I rested for 1 night, due to being a bit tired, I woke up late to start the journey at noon the next day.

# 1. Explore Gia Lai

273199378_1087096938740760_7815527665266788451_n.jpg

First I went to "Bien Ho" also known as T'Nung lake, with the same name as an ancient village in mythical stories of the Ede people, this is a natural freshwater lake located 7km from Pleiku city to the east North.

The lake is located at an altitude of 800m above sea level. This is a giant crater that has been inactive for a long time.

The lake is large and clear with a very beautiful view, also known as "Pleiku Eyes".

hundreds of years old pine

The air when coming here is extremely cool with hundreds of years old pine roads.

273575241_630963091299665_4477417114548742687_n.jpg

Leaving Bien Ho, I came to Chu Dang Ya volcano. A volcano that has been dormant for millions of years. Today local people cultivate crops on the fertile basalt red soil formed from lava after millions of years.

Next to the village of Ploi Lagri at the foot of the mountain lies the ruins of a church that was destroyed by war.

273553546_898485630848470_4452840709830292920_n.jpg

In the afternoon, when the cows return to the barn, the scene makes anyone feel peaceful, far from the noise in the city.

273519316_1019733271951901_4644103833585533645_n.jpg

Each region of Gia Lai always has its own unique charm, even if it is just a roadside rice field, sometimes it makes us surprised.

# 2. Back to Kon Tum

273504724_344477264255674_736663931861079742_n.jpg

Leaving Gia Lai, I continued my journey to Ngoc Linh mountain in Kon Tum province. I once had an article about Kon Tum you can review here.

Along the road are rows of old perennial trees, this is the dry season so it looks a bit dreary.

272853950_513868370366168_6404449230868668811_n.jpg

On the way to Ngoc Linh nature reserve, I passed Dak To hot spring, an abandoned tourist area with only ruins in the middle of the field.

273211885_352727093367768_6646908107184214413_n.jpg

At noon, I visit "Multi-layer" waterfall, also known as "Tea Rong" waterfall. The waterfall is an ideal stop on my journey.

This is not Ngoc Linh's most beautiful season, but even so, this land always has a special charm for me. Endless passes are always a stimulant for bikers.

The terraced fields are in the sowing season promising a bountiful harvest.

Leaving Ngoc Linh, the final destination of my trip was Mang Den.

Revisiting Pa Sy Waterfall is still as beautiful as the last time I visited…

273491324_1130828457723594_481816267393148989_n.jpg

Rested one night in town, then I took a bus back to Ho Chi Minh City, back to work, with upcoming projects.

Just look at those photos. So beautiful.
