Since my boyfriend and I wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and find peace in the embrace of nature, we often look for hidden corners that offer both beauty and peace and tranquility. Mađerka breg(Hill of Mađerka), near Štampar, is one such hidden gem, offering wonderful views, rich flora and fauna, and numerous opportunities for relaxation and recreation.
The easiest way to get to Mađerka breg is by car. It is about a 20 minute drive from our home. The path to find the two leads through picturesque rural villages that offer an insight into traditional Slovenian agriculture and way of life. After about 20 minutes of driving, we arrived at the starting point.
Mađerka breg is a true paradise for nature lovers. The path we found led through forests, where we could admire different types of trees, bushes and flowers. In the spring time, the bank is covered with a carpet of wild flowers, which attract many butterflies and bees. Migratory birds that make a temporary home here provide musical accompaniment. You also have a buffet bar and a food trailer.
Along the way, you will encounter several viewpoints that offer wonderful views of the surrounding hills and valleys. Don't forget to bring your camera as you will want to capture these unforgettable moments.📸
In addition to hiking, Mađerkin breg offers many other outdoor activities. Cycling along marked trails is a popular choice among visitors, as the terrain offers both challenging climbs and relaxing descents.
