Ciao a tutti amici miei
Finally, after waiting for several months, the snow has arrived. It hasn't made any major snowfall, but where it has snowed it has made several centimetres, and thanks to the cold temperatures at night, this snow will most likely last a long time.
I wanted to take a tour of where I often go in the summer to walk, and this place is on the Asiago plateau in the province of Vicenza, a place that my parents frequent a lot because they often come here on holiday in both summer and winter.
This hike, which practically reaches the top of Mandriolo, starts from a refuge that is currently closed because it is only open during the summer and autumn seasons when there are so many people who come here to walk and admire nature.
I like to come here when there is snow, because I like to walk in the snowy woods, although from my point of view the best time to come to these places is during the autumn because here you can see the beautiful colours of nature changing.
I'm not a skiing girl, more I don't like to go to the ski slopes so much because sometimes they are really chaotic, and they can make you have a bad day.
On the other hand, I find it much nicer to come walking in the midst of nature, sometimes I even go alone, although in this case I was accompanied by two friends of mine, however the great thing about walking among these trees and the fact that you practically don't hear a sound you are in direct contact with the snow.
This hike would last about a distance of 5 km, but I only did two that day, because it is very tiring to walk in the snow, sooner or later I must manage to buy some snowshoes that my friends have, with which it is easier to walk and not sink into the snow.
When I come walking in these parts, I am always impressed by the beautiful panorama that can be admired from this hike, now that there is snow and even more beautiful with all these whitewashed mountains.
By the way, on the day I did this hike, it wasn't even that cold, but you have to understand that here you start at an altitude of 1700 metres and go up to about 2000 metres with a difference in altitude of about 300 metres.
I hope you enjoyed my account of my adventure that I shared with you, I hope you enjoyed these winter photos, we will definitely see you in the next post.
