Share Our World: East Coast Trip overview

It is time to recap the East Coast Trip I did with Jodi in October. I have been posting about it for about a month.

One of the reasons I blog is to document my thoughts, ideas, and travels. I really like bringing trips all together in one post and that one post has links to the other posts that have more details about the trip!

Connecticut

Jodi and I started our trip in Connecticut. We went in October so we could see the fall leaves. They were beautiful. We stayed in a hotel by the airport and an awesome Airbnb out in the country.

We took a train from Hartford to New York City

New York City

We spent a very fun three days in New York City. We went the Guggenheim, the MET. We walked from Penn Station to South Ferry, around Central Park, and Times Square. We ate great food, including dinner with Chloe. We did a great double decker bus tour.

We took a commuter bus to DC

Washington DC

Washington, DC is one of my favorite cities and anytime I am on the East Coast I will visit.

We got in a night and walked from Union Station to our hotel. The next morning we did our 6.45 mile walk on the National Mall and ended with the National Gallery of Art and National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden. We saw lots of buildings and monuments including the Jefferson Memorial and the Lincoln Memorial.

Then I went and had dinner with my friends in Virginia. I was an advisor at The George Washington University from 2002-2007. These are students I advised during those years and my co-worker. We became very close and still get together 14 years later. They have children now too which is so fun!
