Day tour at Lalbagh Fort

Hello, how are you! I'm not well. Today my phone was stolen from the bus. So I'm not feeling well today. Can't be normal without mobile. Because nowadays we all are very dependent on mobile. Can't imagine a single moment without it. Today has been a very boring day. So I sat down to write the post with the laptop. Anyway, boring story aside, back to today's topic. There is no point in thinking about what I have lost. Today we will talk about Lalbagh Fort. Let's get started......

This tour was before lockdown. I stayed at home all week. But a day off in every week was available. That day everyone of my house was planning to go somewhere. Friday is usually a holiday. After Jumma prayer that afternoon, we had a quick lunch. After that we all got ready and went out. Calling an Uber we were off. We went to the gate and saw a lot of people. After some time we got the ticket. Before starting, let me tell you a little about the history of this place.

Lalbagh Fort is one of the oldest monuments of Dhaka, located in the capital of Bangladesh. It is located in Lalbagh area of Old Dhaka. Emperor Aurangzeb planned the construction of Lalbagh Fort. Later Prince Shahzada Azam started its construction in 1668. It was first named Aurangabad Durg/Fort. The area was renamed in 1844. The name of the area is Lalbagh. And then the name of the fort was changed to Lalbagh Fort.

Presently the residence of Subedar Shaista Khan is being managed as “Lalbagh Fort Museum”. This fort has three entrances. Two of these have been closed. Entering through the main gate offers a spectacular view. At the beginning of the entrance there is a flower garden. This fort is decorated with different flowers. It is a very clean place. It is a very clean place in a polluted city like Dhaka. Moving forward, a mausoleum is found. The tomb is made of marble stones. Very beautiful craftsmanship has been done in the tomb.

My cousin is younger. He was 3 years old then. He was playing in the fort grounds. He was accompanied by uncle and aunt. I told them that I will take a look around the fort. Then I turned around. A very beautiful place. I took photos for a while. After taking several pictures I sat down on the grass in the field. I tried to enjoy the place.

Not much to say about these places. The ancient monuments of the country should be taken care of in this way. Many people come to this fort field in the morning to exercise. There is no place to spend time in this area. But there is a very nice environment here.
We spent time here till almost evening. After that there is no rule to stay here. So we have to leave very soon.

A few last words.

It is our duty to keep these places clean. Many litter these places by throwing packets of chips, nut shells, chocolate shells, paper, etc. It is not civilized behavior. We should be careful about these things.
