Tunnel Largo Camino Del Rey ⛰

The roads of the king ⛰

And so begins a little more of my journey through Malaga, and I'm glad it was, because I discovered the most incredible places to go that I've ever seen.
It looks like something out of a cowboy movie, or even a brief trip to the other side of the world. These paths left me enchanted
There are 2 roads north and south, we decided to go south which was closer to the center of malaga, but it was really funny that the south was the end of the road. per person, and it took us about 30 minutes to get there, but we had already gotten lost before and we had an accident, in fact these small setbacks managed to delay everything by almost 2 hours, I was already afraid that they would bar us from entering.
But the guides were our friends and they let us in there.
It's these little stories and adventures that mark us on our travels, isn't it true?
This was definitely one of them.

After getting off the bus, we enter a tunnel that must be approximately 200 meters long for pedestrians.

This is the first image we have even before reaching the entrance.
it is without a doubt breathtaking, especially for me, who don't like heights or narrow paths, but I was challenged by my travel friends so I couldn't do this challenge to them

we traveled about 2.5 kilometers before entering where we had a clear view of the mountain, wide tracks and where in the background we could already see the river that we were going to go around

we walked and I was very excited and anxious, as I said height is not one of my strengths, we bought the tickets online which cost us 18 eur each without a guide, but there are also other options such as having a guide or even option to pick you up in Malaga city center

when there were small detours, there were signposts so that no one could get lost, which made getting to the entrance much easier

Even before entering, many people had already drunk a lot of water because that day it was close to 34 degrees in temperature, in muggy and very dry weather, quite different from the more humid place where I live, besides here in my region the wind is colder

the further we went to the beginning, the more we climbed towards the gorge, sometimes we caught large rocks with holes in them so that we could overcome these large walls, made of yellow stone, furnishing these tunnels, which were refreshing because the wind entered from both sides

This kind of foliage made of paper protects us from the sun, great while waiting for the entrance.

At the entrance we were handed a miner's helmet, to protect our heads, as well as some warnings, we had some areas that we could not stop for safety, as there could be problems with landslides, the gray helmets were people with a guide, the blue ones they were unguided people.
We were asked what our group's nationality was as it would be easier to talk to us in an emergency.
As soon as they start doing these small tests, that nervousness starts to leave, if they do this test it's because they have high risks, especially when they give us the helmet for protection.
Well see you tomorrow for the start of the trail.
thank you so much for watching
