Yes, you are probably right. You do have a very interesting cuisine! You were well prepared :)
I think I would like to try some of these delicacies, except from the balut!!! Saw it in a documentary as a teenager and took me a looong time to eat an egg again without thinking of it, lol. But you know how these things go, some day you try it and then it becomes your favorite (although I have serious doubts about the balut, haha).
