Hi Everyone,
We have finally settled back in Japan and its great to be here. Another couple of months here and I am already dreading of going back home. The kids are happy to be back playing Pokemon, catching up on the current set and the new one is coming out next month. Catching Pokemon is now their favourite past time.
I missed the food, sashimi and bakery food. With a gluten intolerant kid, it is extremely hard to eat bread, cakes, noodles easily back home with very little options. The wheat in Japan is just simply much milder and doesn't cause any upset stomachs for the little ones. We can now eat as wheat as we want, everyone is happy.
Another thing we miss is how cheap grocery is here compared to back home. Inflation has hit everyone around the globe but I feel things in Sydney is much more expensive than everywhere else we've been to the last year. We bought a full trolley worth of food including sashimi and toiletress and it was just over $100AUD, this could never happen in Sydney. We didn't hold back buying food or drinks, we felt like we got a bargain. I think if it wasn't for the kids, we would have moved over there long time ago.

À couple of months... Oh wow you're in Japan for work?
That's so interesting!
I wonder if your child is okay with sourdough because it is broken down glut?
My mom just started trying it out and so far so good.
Including pro-biotics, which I believe Japan has better quality food that has that (like Korea) compared to Western based culture Australia.
Yes we did it last year (much longer) in Japan and we had a ball. Though the little ones did miss out on school for a month or so. Hubby is working so I would look after the kids while he work. Much easier now cos they are older. So far, we are doing fine with the food, sourdough I don't like so i won't touch it haha
Haha was it because of the sourness or the chewy-ness?
Japan is always a country full of colors and attractions. The buildings in the photograph you put in the post are also beautiful
We love Japan, its such a beautiful place
I wonder have you and your kids (especially gluten intolerance) have tried sourdough when there's no options of Asian food?
My mom was recently blessed to learn how to eat properly with it, and I got to learn about this place to acquire it next time

Effect of inflation is becoming real and real in these chaotic and unpredictable times.
