I will get the order of things mixed up because this was 20 years ago and I no longer have access to the original photos I took. These ones were scans of prints I took at the time (and reduced for use on my website.) I recently came across these scans and re-enlarged them, which has badly affected the quality, but at least you can see something in them!
One of the days we were in Brittany (read part one and part 2), we drove to the town of Brest which is the largest town and port in Finistère and one of the westernmost towns in all of France.
The worst thing about our trip was the timing. It was the end of April which meant that many points of interest were closed including Oceanopolis, in Brest.
Thankfully, this meal cart was open. I decided to order an "Le Sandwich Américain Steack" (spelled something like that.) It comprised of two hamburger patties on a baguette with the chips (fries) poured on top of the patties and smothered with ketchup.
It looked roughly like this:

Take off the lettuce, add ketchup... and replace those nice beefy patties with two standard fast food patties and it's close to what we had.
The view from the beach there in Brest was very nice as you can see from the following two images.
Here are a few videos I found on YouTube. I see that Brest has changed a bit in the past 20 years - including the building of the tram "Bibus."
