Vibrant purple colors as far as the eye can reach, the air filled with the sweet scent of Lavender and the only sound which can be heard are some bees celebrating their feast buzzing from flower to flower. That is all you will experience when visiting the Lavender fields of Valensole
Let's Visit the Vibrant Purple Lavender Fields of Valensole | France
Earlier this July, I visited Valensole's Lavenderfields, located in the Provence of France. Every Mid June till somewhere in August, the fields in this area will Color Purple and will be a true dream to visit, at least, it was a dream until I finally got to visit this area earlier this July!
The only thing you have to do is drive around Valensole and you will find plenty of fields! It is beautiful to go for a walk since there are many farmroads between the different fields. Besides Lavender, you can also find pink fields with Sage, which are equally beautiful. I honestly like their wild look!
I went with my van and there were plenty of parking opportunities around the fields. I opened the door and all I smelled were sweet flowers accompanied by the sound of buzzing bees. But no worries, the bees won't hurt you as long as you don't bother them!
After I parked my van, I went first for a walk over the unpaved road between the fields, soon, I found myself in the middle of the fields, no people around, just plenty of bees (which are really friendly and just minding their business)
After I came back I had a coffee in my van, with open doors to enjoy the colorful views.
As I said earlier, they aren't only growing lavenders in these fields but Sage as well, although the sage is defenitely not as famous as the lavender but at least as beautiful I believe. It isn't growing in perfect rows but just a messy, wild field full of soft pink flowers. I loved it!
These are some of the paths you can take to walk or bike through the fields passing by plenty of flower fields. Here you can see a field of Sage. It looks much more beautiful in real life than in my pictures I must say, my pictures are kinda lacking color and vibrance I must say. But at least it gives you some impression
I also bought a postcard in the little nearby town. Valensole town isn't really worth a visit unless you need to grab some food or a souvenir. They also sell the lavender pouches which you can hang in your cabinet or bathroom, and the Lavender flowers themself of course.

I see you are living in Paris! I'm sure you will manage to visit them once! I saw they have also lavender in Spain + a festival surrounded by those fields. That will be my next goal!
Currently in Bretagne in the northwest area. Hopefully, somewhere down the road, we can pass by there in the right season. hehe

I saw some people having a picnic here. It is a beautiful location. I didn't see people having prenup pics here but I am 100% sure it is a thing here! It is the perfect location!
Wish I can visit that one day, its really far from the Philippines but dreaming is free, hehe. I also want to experience that beautiful pictorial you had in that place ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ

Yes my Campervan is my home for the summer! I will have a short stop in Austria and Budapest without the van though, but the rest of the time I will be in my van :)
