Visit Dewi Lake, a lake at the top of Singgalang Mountain.

in Pinmapplelast year

Hello everyone, I’m... his time I visited Telaga Dewi, a lake at the top of Mount Singgalang that has a climbing path that continues to climb and is wet, thus presenting its own challenges for me.

While at the top of Mount Singgalang which has a height of 2877 meters above sea level, above that peak, on this hill we can see the view of Mount Singgalang which is located in Tanah Datar Regency, West Sumatra, Indonesia as a whole is almost shrouded in white clouds. 30 minutes journey if we take the goddess lake road

We can see the trees and landscapes that will be created with a magical sensation so that it is known that this place has a very wet and cold temperature. So time can change at any time

There’s a tree on the edge of this lake that’s quite old, but you’re still here today...there are stories of people who have come here that if you fall into the lake, you will disappear immediately, it seems that you are swallowed up. the lake is called Telaga Dewi. It’s not clear why it’s called Telaga Dewi. That said, it comes from a crater that is dead or inactive

A brochure with the words "Welcome to Telaga Dewi" is visible in front of this lake...

This is the lake of the Goddess, with a thick layer of fog coming towards her...

Many trees grow around the goddess lake, the area is called a moss forest with beautiful views of the forest next to it...

A small painting that indicates the area of the moss forest but the writing is a bit fuzzy. Because rarely do people come to this forest, because this forest is basically not a tourist place. but an adventurous place for brave souls.

Moss forest. A place with a lot of moss, and the trees are very naturally green clinging to almost the whole tree's body

La vue des arbres de bois... vers le haut.. dans la forêt de mousse...

When I visited this goddess’s lake, I traveled from the dominant hiking trail with roots and mossy trees, so it took about 5 hours to reach the goddess’s lake at the top of this Singgalang mountain, as in the photo above top to photo below...But you have to be careful when you are in this lake of the goddess and the moss forest because there is news that I have heard from people who have visited the lake of the goddess in this mossy forest, that in this place there is a giant python. It is said that according to their story the python was hiding in the mossy woods of the forest...they were the snakes as guardians in this forest...! But when I was in that forest, I didn’t see the giant snake, maybe it’s just a mythical story... But you have to stay alert for security

Thank you all... I hope my writings and visits to this goddess lake, at the peak of Mount Singgalang, will be useful for all of us...
See you on the next trip.
