Hello Dear HIVE Travellers!

I know everyone is boring in this lockdown situation. We all are trying to go out. But you know the situation is not under control. So we have to keep patience. By the way, in this post I am coming with my first travel blog on #haveyoubeenhere Community. As a traveller I love to visit unique and exciting places. Most of the I time I went for travelling with my friend circle.

In this post I am going to telling about my awesome Adventure on Kalapahar Sylhet, Bangladesh. Now I am writing about it.

There are very few people who have heard the name of Kalapahar! I didn't know much about this myself. One day I suddenly came to know through an elder brother that Kalapahar is the highest hill in Sylhet division. 1098 feet in height. Location: In Karmadha union in Kulaura upazila of Moulvibazar district on the Indian border. The approximate distance from Kulaura to Kalapahar is about 38 km. In one day you have to do extreme tracking to reach the top of Kalapahar And with it you have to cross tea gardens, hills, waterways and forests. The whole trekking thrill is thrilling. In 2016, a group of adventurers found the first Kalapahar. Since then the hill has become quite famous for its adventure trails.

Once upon a time in the month of July 2019, there was a chat in Kalapahar over a cup of tea at our University tong. Everyone looked quite curious. Everyone's strong desire can conquer Kalapahar. Sitting in place, everyone decided to go to climb Kalapahare next Saturday at 7 When the word became known, it became a team of about 11 people with boys and girls in the night. Most of them have never been tracked. With the name of God, the train left Sylhet for Kulaura at 6:30 am on Saturday. It takes a maximum of 2 hour and 40 minutes by train from Sylhet to Kulaura. As soon as I got off the train, everyone had breakfast and went straight to Azgarabad Tea Garden by a Mini Bus. It took 25 minutes. I started trekking from the tea garden at 9 am. At the end of the garden, I saw the green hills around me. A little uphill path to the end of the garden. As soon as we reached the top of a hill, we met some Khasias. Curiosity in their eyes when they see an unexpected guest like us at 7 am. I found out that they are locals. When we heard that we were going to Kalapahar, a look of concern appeared on their faces. Because the whole way is jungle. It has been raining for a few days and the leech infestation has increased on the way. It goes without saying that people do not have anagona. Meanwhile, some of the girls in the group have become exhausted after climbing a hill. The senior trackers of the group are going with their enthusiasm. Who knows how long that stimulus lasts. After 1.5 hour we reached the local Begunchhara capital. It is basically a Khasia village. Lots of betel and betel gardens all around. About three hundred families live in Khasia village.

Meeting with the chief lemon grandfather of Khasiapalli. Now it is his turn to rest in his yard. Everyone is drinking water, saline, glucose to strengthen the body. I took his permission in Eri gap. He fixed two Khasia guides. The group was big and they had to take the two as guides. Moreover, there were more female members in the group. Somehow I was forced to take two guides. The case of the two is 1600 Taka ($20). This time we have to go up and down Jhiripath, sometimes with or without enough drinking water from Begunchhara capital. There is no other source of water after climbing the hill from Jhiri. Water has to be calculated very carefully. The mountain path has become slippery in last night's rain. Having to step very carefully. One of the brothers in Eri has been in the spotlight several times advising everyone to be careful. Meanwhile, the slippery path has been associated with the attack of mountain leeches. The whole path goes up through the bamboo grove.

Although the height of Kalapahar is relatively low, the trail has become challenging considering the slippery steep path and time due to the heavy rains of the previous night. In many places we have to cut down the jungle and make our way. At 2:20 pm we were able to reach the top of Kalapahar. I flew the flag of Bangladesh that I had brought with me with the intention of flying the flag after winning the summit. I left the flag on a branch as a memento. The blue waters of Hakaluki Haor can be seen from the top of Kalapahar and on the other side some parts of Tripura in India can be seen. After spending about half an hour at the top, I came back to Khasiapalli fascinated by the beauty of the hills.

If no one wants to do the summit later, they will first come to Kulaura in Sylhet in the vehicle of their choice. In this case, you can get off at Kulaura station in the morning by night train. By reserving CNG from the station, you will be able to go directly to Azgarabad Tea Garden across Rabirbazar. The rent will be 180 Taka ($2.25). Walking the rest of the way. Take plenty of water and light food with you. Do not wear any shop in front of you on the trekking route.

(Note: Everybody's work is off at A-E Begunchhara Punji on a weekly Sunday. So you won't get any guide on this day. Keep in mind the Sunday and plan ahead with other bars in front.)

Keep the place neat and clean. Keeping one's country clean is the identity of patriotism.
