Best Advice Ever Received
~―
HIVERS, what's up! 👋
An author by the name Khan Kay, has a book am sure many haven't had of, it is called The Spaghetti Startup. It is not widely known because essentially it the author target audience I believe were the people in tech but not the general population. It is after all A Tale of Startup Survival or How to Achieve Radical Growth with Systems & Design Thinking.
Being in the tech world, and looking forward to probably starting a startup in the near future, or joining a young one, it makes sense why I would be interested in such a publication. So back in 2018, September I had that copy in my bag together with a small journal. As a way of passing time and avoiding boredom back then I decided to just read the book and see what I could make of it, there is only so much one can consume from YouTube...
For sure it was an interesting read, especially with the heavy use of symbolism and metaphors used by the user with the aim of conveying his message. What got me really thinking though was getting to a section of what he calls The Lasagna Laws, simply put this a The Rules of Life. The first one;
At that particular time in my life, reading that I just felt like I had finally found an answer I had been in search for a while but I wasn't even sure of what it is that I was in search of.
An year before that, I had been introduced to Principle of Causality but the introduction had just been that, a simple introduction, but somehow I felt like the answers I had been seeking were somehow related to my understanding of that principle. Reading that piece from Khan's publication reinforced my thinking, on the need to understand where it all begun, in order to actually cure the sickness rather than cure the symptoms which I think I had been doing for most of the time before that, and the result of curing the symptoms rather than the sickness is, the sickness of course never gets treated and immediately after we think that's it we are done dealing with a particular problem we go through a period of total bliss, until the problem reemerges, and when it does it actually hurts more than it did in the first place.

I realized for me to lid my life of some recurring adversities I had to first understand the decisions that led me to being there in the first place, otherwise it would be a never ending battle, using short term solutions as my weapon of choice rather than taking the time to understand the sickness and actually figure out a long-term solution once and for all.
And those simple words; My problem is with your decisions, become the best advice I had ever received of course indirectly form a book, but up to this point I believe it is the best advice ever.
It was the key, the missing part of the puzzle and once I found it I slowly have been able to make a journey back towards understanding the cause, in order to think of getting a cure. Of course a sickness and a cure are metaphors.
I had found a way to finally cure the pain that before that had plagued my existence, leading me to wonder, when would it all ever end?
... see you all in my next update!
