Cooking for people is indeed not an easy deal, like you said our palates are different and we taste things differently. I have this uncle, I think his taste buds have a problem because even when you cook and everyone says the seasonings is Ok and the food taste nice , he would always say he can't taste salt or other seasoning in the food. We always give him extra salt and seasoning to put in his own meal.
I had to talk about him because if you ask someone like him to taste your meal, his reply may just make you feel that you're not good enough and you may have a low self esteem. but you won't know that he has a problem and not you.
