Крафтового пивоварня De Molen була заснована Менно Олів'є в 2004 році в місті Бодегравен. Пивоварня розташувалася в будівлі старої вітряка, побудованої в 1697 році, тому і отримала назву "Млин". Приблизно в 1850 році млин, ймовірно, постраждала від великої пожежі. На приводі, підключеному до розмаху, згадується дата, яка вказує 1853. Інші частини млина беруться з різних млинів в цьому районі. Під час реставрації млин була піднята близько 1,25 метра. Це видно в двох місцях завдяки наявності невеликих сходів. The history of the brewery.
The De Molen Craft Brewery was founded by Menno Olivier in 2004 in Bodegraven. The brewery is located in the building of an old windmill, built in 1697, and therefore received the name "Mill". Around 1850, the mill was probably hit by a big fire. On a drive connected to a span, a date indicating 1853 is mentioned. Other parts of the mill are taken from different mills in the area. During the restoration, the mill was raised about 1.25 meters. This can be seen in two places due to the presence of small stairs. In 1974, the factory was bought by Bodegraven’s council and rebuilt over the next 8 years. Before creating his own brewery, Olivier brewed beer in his kitchen, studied brewing with a Dutch master, worked as a professional brewer at Brouwerij de Texelse and De Prael in Amsterdam, in Stadsbrouwerij de Pelgrim in Rotterdam even converted his garage into a microbrewery. The brewery was renamed Brouwerij de Molen for obvious reasons.
