Дружба як вона є / Friendship as it is (Ua-En)

Жив з нами по сусідству хлопчик, з яким моя донька потоваришувала ще під час багатомісячного локдауну, коли ми більше року майже нікуди не ходили і ні з ким не контактували. Але якось так виходило, що гратися в двір виходили тільки ці двоє. Так вони і подружились.

A boy lived next door to us, with whom my daughter befriended during the months-long lockdown, when we hardly went anywhere and did not contact anyone for more than a year. But somehow it turned out that only these two went out to play in the yard. That's how they became friends.

Потім друзі почали ходити один до одного в гості, показувати свої іграшки, обмінюватись ними, дивитись нові мультики і вирішувати багато різних приємних питань. Та після початку війни наші родини роз'їхались і відповідно дитяча дружба опинилась під загрозою.

Then friends started visiting each other, showing their toys, exchanging them, watching new cartoons and solving many different pleasant questions. But after the start of the war, our families moved apart and, accordingly, childhood friendship was under threat.

Але на нещодавній День Народження доньки несподівано першим зайшов привітати наш давній друг. Ви б бачили те величезне щастя в очах обох дітей. Стільки не бачитись, стільки усього відбулось, стільки пережили і є так багато нового, чим можна поділитися зі справжнім другом. В якості подяки за подарунок ми пішли всі разом у нову ігрову кімнату в щойно відкритому торгівельному центрі та гарно провели недільний день.

But on the recent birthday of our daughter, our old friend was unexpectedly the first to come to congratulate us. You would have seen that immense happiness in the eyes of both children. We haven't seen each other for so long, so much has happened, so much has been experienced and there is so much new that can be shared with a true friend. As a thank you for the gift, we all went together to the new playroom in the newly opened shopping center and had a great Sunday afternoon.
