Cómo bien sabemos una madre termina aflorando un sin fin de habilidades ante los requerimientos que su familia necesite y en esta ocasión se necesitaba a la mamá modista, aquella que por lo general solo debe remendar algún agujero que nace por estar jugar a lo loco o por el hecho de confeccionar un nuevo guardarropas a las muñecas.
As we well know, a mother ends up bringing out a myriad of skills to the requirements that her family needs and this time it needed the mom dressmaker, the one who usually only has to patch a hole that is born to be playing crazy or by the fact of making a new closet to the dolls.
Aparte de eso una mamá modista nace al ver que la ropa que va quedando en buenas condiciones ya no les queda de la misma forma, el pantalón por lo regular es lo primero que queda corto porque nuestra hija o hijo pegó un estirón en medio del verano, ¿no les ocurre que al llegar el otoño y post lavado de ropa le prueban un pantalón y este les queda corto? Pues bien eso nos ocurrió con un par de pantalones de gimnasia los cuales eran los favoritos de mi hija mayor Rocío, le quedan cortos pero a su hermana menor Julieta le quedaban muy largos y anchos.

Me puse en plan de reciclaje y encontré dos pantalones de gimnasia que estaban con un agujero en la parte baja y me serviría para la reparación de los pantalones qué sí usaría, los corte a la mitad por la parte de las rodillas, los pantalones agujereados los corte para obtener dos rectángulos de la misma medida, luego junte las caras derechas y cosí a máquina, hice las partes de la rodilla primero para terminar uniendo lo que son los puños del pantalón de gimnasia, de ese modo ambos pantalones quedaron reutilizables ya que estaban de el largo perfecto para mi hija.
I started to recycle and I found two gymnastics pants that had a hole in the lower part and would be useful for the repair of the pants that I would use, I cut them in half at the knees, the pants with holes were cut to obtain two rectangles of the same size, then I joined the right sides and sewed by machine, I made the parts of the knee first to finish joining what are the cuffs of the gymnastics pants, that way both pants were reusable since they were the perfect length for my daughter.
Con los trozos restantes hice un pantalón para la muñeca de mi hija Julieta y así utilice la mayor parte de la tela, reutilizar es un don que obtenemos las madres además de que nos ayuda a la economía ya que los niños crecen tan rápido que uno compra mucha ropa que al final termina guardada o regalada.
With the remaining pieces I made a pair of pants for my daughter Julieta's doll and used most of the fabric, reusing is a gift that we mothers get and it also helps our economy since children grow so fast that we buy a lot of clothes that end up being kept or given away.
Los trozos de tela que no servían para hacer nada los guardo en una bolsa así tengo material para rellenar almohadas, de todo nace algo nuevo si en nuestra imaginación así lo vemos.
The pieces of fabric that were useless to make anything I keep in a bag so I have material to stuff pillows, from everything something new is born if in our imagination we see it that way.
Giving a garment a new chance is good because when our little ones wear it, they feel proud that it was their mommy who created it for them.
Calidad... Quedaron muy bien los pantalones. A mí siempre me ha llamado la atención la costura y opino que el aprenderla puede ser de mucho beneficio para la familia.
Espero poder algún día, que soy una mamá modista.
La maquina que tengo ya tiene sus años, fue regalo encubierto de mi hermano para que le hiciera las bastillas de sus pantalones, un día empecé de curiosa y con una sábana vieja me lance a aprender la costura y aprendí, no soy experta pero ahí le aplico con mucho amor.
Que bendición llegó a sus manos y que bueno que surgió la curiosidad. Ahorita como familia no podemos adquirir una máquina, espero que en algún momento me llegue una bendición así. Que pueda seguir perfeccionando su oficio y siga siendo de bendición para los suyos.
Ya llegará esa maquina y veras como la disfrutas para consentir a tu familia.
