Las inmunizaciones o vacunas son de gran importancia para nuestro pequeños ya que los que protegen contra enfermedades que aunque parecen inofensivas algunas veces sino se tienen las vacunas con los anticuerpos necesarios en nuestros niños no podría soportarlo y traer consigo graves complicaciones.
El pasado día jueves fuí con mi pequeña Abby a colocarle las vacunas que teníamos pendientes desde el año pasado para serles sincera había olvidado que a su año de vida debían colocarse trivalente y fiebre amarilla en diciembre cuando revise el cartón pensaba que las que tocaban eran los refuerzos de pentavalente y polio oral pero para mi sorpresa faltaban 4 vacunas así que acudimos al dispensario o ambulatorio más cercano de nuestra casa luego de llevar a Alys al colegio.
Llegamos muy temprano a eso de las 7:30 am debimos esperar un rato ya que un día antes pase a preguntar y me dijeron que su horario laboral era a partir de las 8:00am, una vez transcurrido el tiempo y abrieron el lugar debí esperar un poco más porque las enfermeras encargadas de las inmunizaciones no habían llegado.
A las 9:00am aproximadamente llegó una enfermera y inmediatamente comenzó a vacunar afortunadamente mi bebé era la primera, la enfermera tomó el cartón me dijo que solo le colocarían a mi pequeña los refuerzos pentavalente y polio Oral porque trivalente y fiebre amarilla no habían llegado así que me anotaron en una lista para que una vez llegasen al ambulatorio se comunicarían conmigo por teléfono para llevar a la niña y así vacunarse con esas dos. Luego anoto la fecha con las dos vacunas que si tenían y que iban a colocarle.
Posteriormente la enfermera pasó a darle la dosis de Polio Oral a mi niña y me indicó que no le diera nada de comer o tomar en 30 minutos aproximadamente, posteriormente en su pierna derecha le colocaron la dosis de pentavalente y me dijo que por nada del mundo tocará la zona en donde se le colocó la vacuna y que al llegar a mi casa le diera algún medicamento como el acetominofen, ibuprofeno o diclofenac ya que la última vacuna protege contra 5 infermedades y provoca como reacción fiebre con algo de malestar e irritación.
Mi pequeña fue muy valiente aunque lloro con la punzada en su pierna lo cuál es bastante normal en niños y hasta en nosotros los adultos, pero en un par de minutos ya se encontraba bastante tranquila ahora solo nos toca esperar a que lleguen las vacunas para la fiebre amarilla y trivalente para completar el esquema de inmunizaciones requeridas para su edad.
Les dejo como recordatorio revisar el cartón inmunizaciones de sus pequeños para saber si tienen alguna vacuna pendiente, recuerden que es tarea de nosotros los padres proteger a nuestros pequeños.

At approximately 9:00am a nurse arrived and immediately began to vaccinate, fortunately my baby was the first, the nurse took the cardboard and told me that they would only give my little girl the pentavalent and oral polio boosters because trivalent and yellow fever had not arrived so they wrote me down on a list so that once they arrived at the clinic they would contact me by phone to take the girl and get vaccinated with those two. Then I wrote down the date with the two vaccines that they did have and that they were going to give her.
Then the nurse went on to give the dose of Oral Polio to my little girl and told me not to give her anything to eat or drink for about 30 minutes, then on her right leg they gave her the dose of pentavalent and told me not to touch the area where the vaccine was given and to give her some medicine like acetominofen, ibuprofen or diclofenac when I got home, since the last vaccine protects against 5 diseases and causes fever with some discomfort and irritation as a reaction.
My little girl was very brave although she cried with the twinge in her leg which is quite normal in children and even in us adults, but in a couple of minutes she was quite calm, now we just have to wait for the yellow fever and trivalent vaccines to arrive to complete the immunization schedule required for her age.

Que bonito post, recordando memorias de mis hijos debo decirte que el primer horror que ellos deben superar es el de las agujas por el miedo que infunde el pinchazo en la piel, las vacunas por gotas serían las ideales pero las intravenosas o musculares son tan esenciales como las primeras. Al fin es algo con lo que todo padre debe lidiar durante esta etapa y seguramente tu también lo lograras!... saludos cordiales desde Villa de Cura .
Tienes toda la razón la polio oral se la tomó con toda facilidad porque lo asocia a cuando le doy las vitaminas y no le molesto para nada, con el pinchazo si fue más difícil por el dolor pero solo por un par de minutos ya después cuando llegó a casa no parecía que la hubieran vacunado, con mi hija mayor cuando la vacunaba no podía ni afincar la pierna. Las vacunas son de vital importancia y pensar que hay muchos padres que prefieren no aplicarlas y no se Dan cuenta que no sólo afectan a su hijo sino a los demás.

En casa tenía los dos extremos. La niña jamás lloró con una vacuna. Ni con la BCG que son súper bebés, pero el varón armaba unos dramas épicos! Hasta se vomitaba de tanto llorar!!!
Una recomendación como mamá, yo a mis niños les daba antes de salir de casa el medicamento, así para el momento de la vacuna ya lo habían asimilado y hacía efecto y en la pierna les ponía una bolsita de gel frío.

Mis hijas ambas son valientes pero la más pequeña me sorprendió bastante porque su molestar por la vacuna solo duro un día con mi hija mayor fue diferente hasta 3 días duraba su molestia pero cada organismo es diferente.
