Hola Hivers saludos a toda la comunidad especialmente a #motherhood, espero se encuentren bien, hoy quise contarles un poco mis anécdotas sobre la hiperactividad o inquietud de los niños, un tema bastante común en nuestros días.

Niños Inquietos, Enérgicos o Hiperactivos (TDAH)

La hiperactividad en los niños o lo que se conoce como TDAH (Transtorno por Déficit de Atención e Hiperactividad) es estar constantemente activo de manera inapropiadas en un momento o lugar determinados. La hiperactividad no es lo mismo que estar activo, este problema es constante y no lo pueden controlar en cambio cuando un niño es activo o inquieto, suelen tranquilizarse para poder ser parte de lo que ocurre en su entorno.
Hyperactivity in children or what is known as ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) is to be constantly active in an inappropriate way at a given time or place. Hyperactivity is not the same as being active, this problem is constant and cannot be controlled, but when a child is active or restless, they tend to calm down to be part of what is happening in their environment.
El TDAH, es una afección crónica, que ocasiona problemas de atención, distracción, hiperactividad y comportamiento impulsivo, hay quienes usan el TDAH de manera equivoca en niños que no lo padecen simplemente porque el niño sea muy enérgico.
ADHD is a chronic condition, which causes attention problems, distractibility, hyperactivity and impulsive behavior, there are those who use ADHD wrongly in children who do not suffer from it simply because the child is very energetic.
Ahora bien, hace algunos años atrás cuando mi hijo tenía 4 o 5 años aproximadamente, comencé a notar un comportamiento extraño, no paraba en todo el día, si en algún momento salíamos por alguna diligencia me hacía pasar pena ya que todo lo preguntaba inclusive una vez se le acercó a un señor que le habían amputado parte de una de sus piernas, pues que creen, mi hijo se le acerco preguntándole de todo lo que se le ocurría, que le había pasado? En dónde estaba la parte que le faltaba, entre otras cosas, la verdad, me moría de la vergüenza y eso y otras cosas sucedian cada vez que salíamos para algún sitio, inclusive, en 3 oportunidades, se cayó causandose una herida en el mismo sitio, la quijada.
Now, a few years ago when my son was about 4 or 5 years old, I began to notice a strange behavior, he did not stop all day, if at any time we went out for an errand he made me feel sorry because he asked me everything, even once he approached a man who had amputated part of one of his legs, well what do you think, my son approached him asking him everything he could think of, what had happened to him? Where was the part that was missing, among other things, the truth, I died of embarrassment and that and other things happened every time we went out somewhere, including, on 3 occasions, he fell causing a wound in the same place, the jaw.
Otro anécdota era que cada vez que íbamos a la playa o la piscina, mi hijo pasaba el día conociendo a todas las personas a nuestro alrededor, no le importaba si eran chicos, o adultos, comía y tomaba con todos, yo nuevamente apenada cada rato lo llamaba, el se venía dónde yo estaba, pero en un descuido mío se acercaba nuevamente a las personas que estaban cerca, y ni hablar de andar corriendo por todas partes, cuando uno menos se lo esperaba ya tenía un grupo de amigos, inventando cualquier juego, en eso pasaba el día y parte de la noche había momentos en que debía obligarlo a qué descansará un poco, en fin amigos, el no paraba y yo tampoco.
Another anecdote was that every time we went to the beach or the pool, my son spent the day getting to know all the people around us, he didn't care if they were children or adults, he ate and drank with everyone, I was sorry to call him every so often, he would come to where I was, but in an oversight of mine he would approach again the people who were close by, And not to mention running around everywhere, when one least expected it he already had a group of friends, inventing any game, in that the day passed and part of the night there were times when I had to force him to rest a little, anyway friends, he did not stop and neither did I.
En casa tampoco paraba, entraba y salía con amigos, juguetes, y como vivimos en una urbanización cerrada, no había peligro, pero pasaba todo el día corriendo, saltando, y algunas veces hasta se enojaba por un rato y luego seguía con el juego, la verdad fue un niño extremadamente inquieto.

Poco tiempo después comencé a notar un desgaste en sus dientes, en las noches hacia un sonido extraño con sus dientes, en principio no me preocupo, pero poco a poco note que su desgaste iba en aumento, así que decidí visitar al pediatra, pues ya casi no tenía dientes.

Ya de visita dónde el pediatra le comenté todo lo que estaba sucediendo y le mostré lo poquito que le quedaba de sus dientes y fue cuando me dijo que el niño podría estar presentando TDAH, o tenía mucha energía acumulada que no lograba drenar de día, así que la terminaba de drenar por las noches y ese era el problema de sus dientes.
When I visited the pediatrician I told him everything that was happening and showed him the little that was left of his teeth and he told me that the child could be having ADHD, or he had a lot of accumulated energy that he could not drain during the day, so he finished draining it at night and that was the problem of his teeth.
Su recomendación fue hacer que el niño comenzará a realizar alguna actividad deportiva a diario para que el drenará toda esa energía, la actividad física quema el exceso de energía de manera saludable, de esta manera podría detectar cuál era su problema, así que decidí llevarlo a una escuela de beisbol menor, y por otro lado, que practicara ajedrez, y poco a poco fue mejorando su problema a tal punto que ya no se desgasta los dientes, su diagnóstico fue que era un niño muy activo y enérgico, hoy en día entre sus actividades, aún sigue practicando ese maravilloso deporte como es el beisbol.
His recommendation was to make the child begin to do some sporting activity daily to drain all that energy, physical activity burns excess energy in a healthy way, so I could detect what his problem was, so I decided to take him to a minor baseball school, and on the other hand, to practice chess, and gradually he improved his problem to the point that he no longer wears his teeth, his diagnosis was that he was a very active and energetic child, today among his activities, he still continues to practice this wonderful sport like baseball.

Es importante estar claros que mucha energía y falta de atención no necesariamente significan que el niño tenga TDAH, pero para llegar a un diagnostico preciso, debemos observar muchos a nuestros hijos, sus actitudes y la manera en como se vayan desarrollando, eso y con la debida atención de especialistas médicos, es la única forma de saber si ellos tienen algún problema y necesitan ayuda, ya que nuestros hijos son lo más preciado que tenemos en la vida.
It is important to be clear that a lot of energy and lack of attention does not necessarily mean that the child has ADHD, but to reach an accurate diagnosis, we must observe many of our children, their attitudes and the way they develop, that and with the proper attention of medical specialists, is the only way to know if they have a problem and need help, because our children are the most precious thing we have in life.
