Psilocybe Caerulescens US Strain from South Carolina

in Fungi Lovers4 years ago

Hello hello Ladies and Gentleman
So I am back with the first of a lot of Psilocybe Species grows. Actually I am an expert in growing these very special mushroom species. I don't know much about growing the usual forest shroom, but everything about growing these species, which are famous and known for their content of the psychedelic componends Psilocin and Psilocybin (which is the phosphorloxy version of Psilocin). Some also contain Baeocystin (a substance being a precursor of Psilocybin) in smaller amounts which basically is quite similar to the effects of Psilocybin.

For me this was never about the "production of a scheduled drug", just so you know- its just that knowing what a few grs of these mushrooms can do to (and only to) the human mind - having them growing is a very special kind of feeling, I can't explain. I rarely (very rarely use them and if then mostly native species from outside) The fruits from the grows are destroyed.

The point in growing them is to get these perfect flushes growing. To clone for perfect fluhses and to alter subs aso. And with a lot of them it is all about growing them at all- since some are "damn easy" but a lot are "the holy grail" when it comes to flushing.
I am known to be one of the few people to have grown the most different Psilocybes and Psilocin/Psilocybin containing species out there.

I hope this is all not an offense towards the HIVE rules, don't know what is ok and whats not.

So lets go.

Here you have Psilocybe Caerulescens. A sacred species first found and described from Mexico, but also growing in the US natively. This partiular "Strain" is from South Carolina (meaning it was found first in).
It differs a little from the typical Mexican Strains, can't really describe how, but it does, when looking at shape, color and texture of fruits :)

For you to compare I will upload next two strains originating from Mexico.

Ok, here you go with a collection of a recent flush I had.
I have put them in order, so you can see how they grow over the course of little more than one week.

Thank you everyone.

I use Straw pellets (35%) mixed with Straw bits (cutted) (35%) with Green Compost 20% and Horse Manure in Pellet form.

All is soaked over 2-3 days and then drained and by hand brought to "field capacity".
Then packed in Mycobags and sterilised for 3hrs in a pressure cooker.

Then inoculated with rye grain spawn. (which was incoculated with Rye grain - Malt Extract Agar)

From Spores to fruits it takes like 9-12 weeks- you can force it to grow faster by increasing the temps. However the longer the mycelium staays in the bag going through the substrate the better the first flush. Which is usually the most "intense" (by fruitbody count).
