Hola, setero! Look what I brought today for the #mushroommonday.
All these are my fresh (more or less) captures from this summer, mostly July / August. The season was not very fruitful, especially speaking about foraging, but still I've got away with some stuff in my folders.
Сегодня я покажу вам мои свежие (более или менее) снимки этого лета, все что вы увидите ниже было найдено с июля по август. Лето выдалось скудным на грибы, а в лесу я был всего 2 раза, но кое-что у меня в папках все же скопилось.
In fact, there are always mushrooms around you - just sometimes they are so tiny that you won't find them until you kneel down and search from a distance of your palm or nose. And this very beautiful photogenic stump with inedible mushrooms I found by chance. Actually, I came to this spot to take pictures of Fly agaric - I noticed a few of them them passing by the road, from a distance of three meters. These you cannot just pass, leaving them unnoticed!
На самом деле, грибов вокруг всегда есть. Просто иногда они такие маленькие, что не найдешь их, пока не встанешь на коленки и не посмотришь на землю с расстояния в ладонь или нос. А этот очень красивый фотогеничный пенек с несъедобными грибами я нашел случайно - когда фотографировал Аманита мускариа. Их я увидел проходя мимо по дороге, с расстояния в три метра. Никак нельзя пройти мимо!
I'm not the only one attracted to mushrooms (we already have over 1000 followers in the community, wow!). That is, this is not my personal aberration and unnatural passion, there is something natural and unknown in it. What are the reasons for their attraction? Why do they beckon to themselves, why do you want to photograph them again and again? So many questions, and no answers ...
Я не единственный, кого привлекают грибы (у нас уже 1000 с лишним подписчиков в сообществе, вау!). То есть, это не моя личная аберрация и противоестественная страсть, в этом есть нечто закономерное и непознанное. В чем причины их притягательности? Почему они манят к себе, почему их хочется фотографировать снова и снова? Столько вопросов, и никаких ответов...
I have the answers - the ones I made for myself. I'm not sure how true these are. Or maybe there is no truth, and everyone has different answers to these questions, what attracts us to mushrooms?
У меня есть ответы - те, которые я сделал сам для себя. Я не уверен, насколько это истинные ответы. А может быть, истины никакой нет, и у каждого есть разные ответы на эти вопросы, чем нас привлекают грибы?
First, I believe, the "hunting / foraging instinct" is triggered here. This is absolutely certain, it slumbers deep inside each of us - this is what we received from our ancestors, what comes from older days.
Во-первых, срабатывает "инстинкт охотника и собирателя". Это совершенно точно, оно дремлет глубоко внутри каждого из нас - это то, что мы получили от наших предков, то что идет из древности.
You do not know for sure whether this mushroom is edible and useful or not - but when you see Many Mushrooms, a whole field dotted with their caps, or a stump abundantly covered with noticeable mushroom shoots - so you can mow with a scythe and collect a full basket without leaving the place - you still rejoice, rejoice subconsciously, rejoice at the find itself. Because it means opportunity. Well, of course, mushrooms turn out to be inedible, you are convinced of this, and the opportunity to collect a basket quickly "flies into the pipe" - but the joy still remains, the joy of a mushroom picker, the joy of a hunter ... and a photographer who got the opportunity to take one cool shot - or even not one, but ten!
Ты не знаешь точно, съедобный и полезный это гриб или нет - но когда ты видишь Много Грибов, целое поле, усеянное их шляпками, или пень, обильно облепленный приметной грибной порослью - так что можно косить косой, и набрать полное лукошко не сходя с места - ты все равно радуешься, радуешься подсознательно, радуешься самой находке. Потому что она означает возможность. Ну конечно, грибы оказываются несъедобными, ты в этом убеждаешься, и возможность набрать лукошко быстро "улетает в трубу" - но радость все равно остается, радость грибника, радость охотника... и фотографа, получившего возможность сделать 1 клевый кадр - или не один, а все десять! :)
Well, there is also the second. Appearance. Mushrooms are an amazing variety of shapes, whimsicality, variation in the basic shape that never repeats. The human eye (more precisely, the psyche) is so structured that it loves to cling to roughness, to rest on variety - especially when it gets tired of minimalism and bad sleek design that licked everything around with its long tongue. Do not just take pictures of doorknobs while sitting in Portugal and enjoy nice bokeh, right?
Ну, и есть еще второе. Внешний вид. Грибы - это потрясающее разнообразие форм, прихотливость, варьирование базовой формы, которая никогда не повторяется. Человеческий глаз (точнее, психика) так устроен, что любит цепляться за шероховатости, отдыхать на разнообразии - особенно, когда устает от минимализма и дурного гладкого дизайна, вылизавшего все вокруг своим длинным языком. Не только же дверные ручки фотографировать сидя в Португалии, и наслаждаться приятным боке, правда?

Are the mushrooms immediately collected and then processed into food? Hmm we don't eat those mushrooms, we usually eat oyster mushrooms, and button mushrooms, that's our habit :)
Dara, it depends! in this post, most of the mushrooms in the pictures are inedible. the edible ones are in the basket, and in the frame with snails, named britlegills' (Russula sp.)
This mushroom specie do not suit for preservation, so, yes -- it is harvested, and immediately processed.
There are other species (not featured in this post) that we prefer to preserve as dried (they are considered 1st grade mushrooms in our country).
And for some other species the best option is pickling. Hope this was the answer for your question!
Yes, I am very interested in the picture of the mushroom but even though it is not edible, it is a very very good collection. Do you like to eat mushrooms? I hope so, because some of the wild mushrooms can be consumed.

Я хочу опят найти, но не получается. пару лет назад видел деревья с опятами, но не в своем лесу. А нынче ну нет "На самом деле, грибов вокруг всегда есть. Просто иногда они такие маленькие, что не найдешь их, пока не встанешь на коленки и не посмотришь на землю с расстояния в ладонь или нос."... Были пару недель назад, а сейчас полный штиль.
да вот пару недель (в районе 22го августа) как раз был 1й раз в лесу, и нашел опята.. как класс, 2-3 кустика. они как раз начали появляться. но мы уже уезжали... и я даже не стал их собирать. но сфоткал :)
