Happy #Fungifriday πŸ₯°

In one walk on Deliblato sands ... she prepared a big surprise for me ..... Because it didn't rain for a long time and I didn't expect any mushrooms .... Especially not by the road .... And then I decided to do a little research on to them.....

... Almost all authors of mycological manuals, and without exception, all mushroom collectors put this mushroom at the very top of "taste". As far as I understand its unique taste and smell, it almost destroyed the spruce in Western European countries .... it is extremely appreciated there. ..Since they almost exterminated him there ..... Europeans are now taking him out of Serbia .... They are exporting him beyond measure and will export him until, together with mushrooms and foxes, he slowly disappears in our field ...
All mushrooms are sensitive to unprofessional and rough picking, especially spruce ... it is still found in the mountains and in some places in the lower areas where artificial fertilization of the soil is not used ....

Even the best mycologists are not entirely sure how many species there are in the genus Morchella. All spruces in good are similar. Generally speaking, there are (according to Moser) three species of morels: M. conica, M. esculenta and M. elata. And to distinguish these species, you need a well-trained eye and experience ... Scientists have reached the number 40, approximately as many species ....

It should be noted that spruces should not be eaten raw. The hemolysic acid they contain is dangerous but decomposes completely during heat treatment.

Apart from the fact that morels have a special taste, they are also appreciated in cooking ... they stand out among other mushrooms - because of their ability to withstand the worst possible living conditions and surroundings ... So they grow in literally amazing places: on burnt stumps, on gravel, on walls ..... "It has been recorded that one morel grew up in a Paris museum on dinosaur bones which, in order to complete the riddle, are protected by glass ..."

And so it is now clearer to me where the spruce next to the dry road came from .... From the sand, without rain ... Hm ... maybe there was a little morning dewπŸ€”
... Or still nothing?! ??
but if the surprise was successful it definitely is .....

Here is a stray snail's house ... I didn't touch it, so I don't know if it's just a house or a resident ...🀭

And a little look at the surroundings to have an idea of where I found the mushroom.

thats an intresting point of view! I didnt know that at all, but now I am in the know. this is a very touchy post, Susan, I love all of it. And I should say the little snail in the middle of your story was like a counter-point. awesome post, appreciated! successfull #fungifriday.

I have found today some autumn shrooms too πŸ„ but had no time even to copy the images from the camera to PC, not speaking of the post...

I'm glad you liked my post πŸ₯°
I'm sorry that people manage to literally destroy everything that is useful to them. And they have no control to use it moderately, but give everything right away ...

Thank you very much @qwerrie I really appreciate your opinion πŸ₯°

I'm sorry you didn't get to post your newly found mushrooms, and I can't wait to see your post ...

Hmm these are stinkhorns not morels. Very bad tasting compared to morels but they can be eaten here's a video of a guy cooking/eating them lol.
