This is a classic character that was originally created many years ago and the actor who play this character is constantly being changed as the generations grow old and a new one appears. Films about espionage can be quite enjoyable for people who like the action and thriller genres, and even though 007 is again, probably the most popular, my personal favorite would be the character named Jason Bourne, who coincidentally has the same initials as James Bond, and was played by Matt Damon. My second favorite one would be Johnny English :D
What characterizes James Bond is that he is a glamorous agent. He always has an elegant look and is constantly hooking up with women all the time. Plus, his spy gadgets are advanced enough to get him out of most trouble. Movies about this character are always enjoyable, but more recently, I have started to notice a certain common pattern in most action movies that I will explain below.
What was the movie about?
This film begins and the 007 agent of previous movies is already retired. He is living a great life with his girlfriend and it seems he is quite happy for having his espionage days past him. However, when people participate in so many important missions, even after they retire their past could always come back to haunt them.
This is mainly an action film, so there will be several fighting scenes, persecutions, and all sorts of battles, where 007 always ends up winning as expected. Some of these persecutions were fun to watch, while some of the fight scenes could get very tedious.
007 is an elite agent as we all know, and he always has access to cutting-edge technology that allows him to have some advantage over his enemies. The best villains, on the other hand, usually have the same level of technology as the hero in order to make their fight very even. In this case, the threat is a new bioweapon that can target the DNA and kill the subjects if there is a match. This is extremely dangerous because it allows the operator of the bioweapon to eliminate any DNA characteristic he wishes, including ethnicities, certain families, or anything he can think of.
Once a person becomes infected with this bioweapon, he either dies if his DNA is one of the targets or in case he doesn't die he will always carry the bioweapon inside the body and will automatically infect any person he touches. There is no cure for this weapon, so once a person becomes infected, he will remain like that for the rest of his life. This bioweapon are nanobots that instantly kill the person when a DNA match is found. It all reminded me a bit of the covid virus, and how some people theorize this was intentionally made to help kill part of the old population that's no longer very productive due to their age but consume a lot of resources. This is a conspiracy theory of course, but the film reminded me of it.

Lo que caracteriza a James Bond es que es un agente glamuroso. Siempre tiene un look elegante y está constantemente ligando con mujeres todo el tiempo. Además, sus artilugios de espía son lo suficientemente avanzados como para sacarle de casi todos los problemas. Las películas sobre este personaje siempre son disfrutables, pero más recientemente, he empezado a notar cierto patrón común en la mayoría de las películas de acción que explicaré más adelante.
¿De qué trata la película?
Esta película comienza y el agente 007 de las anteriores películas ya está retirado. Lleva una vida estupenda con su novia y parece que es bastante feliz por haber dejado atrás sus días de espionaje. Sin embargo, cuando las personas participan en tantas misiones importantes, incluso después de retirarse su pasado siempre podría volver a perseguirlos.
Esta es principalmente una película de acción, por lo que habrá varias escenas de lucha, persecuciones y todo tipo de batallas, en las que 007 siempre acaba ganando como era de esperar. Algunas de estas persecuciones fueron divertidas de ver, mientras que algunas de las escenas de lucha podían llegar a ser muy tediosas.

Esta arma biológica son nanobots que matan instantáneamente a la persona cuando se encuentra una coincidencia de ADN. Todo esto me recordó un poco al virus covid, y cómo algunas personas teorizan que esto fue hecho intencionalmente para ayudar a matar a parte de la población anciana que ya no es muy productiva debido a su edad pero que consume muchos recursos. Esto es una teoría conspirativa, por supuesto, pero la película me lo recordó.

The villain is a person full of resentment for horrible things that happened to him in the past, and now he has the resources and power to finally take revenge on everyone who wronged him. He wants to change the world and has no moral compass whatsoever, and he is also probably psychologically unstable as a result of his traumas.
The movie is much better than average but it was still easy to figure out which "unexpected" event was about to happen before it was actually shown on the screen. Several times during the movie some "surprise" happened but these "surprises" felt a bit generic which was a bit of a letdown. There is maybe some type of manual some action films use to introduce new challenging situations, and after watching many films one starts to notice certain things that make it easy to guess what will happen next. This happened to me in this film but it didn't ruin the experience.

Cary Joji Fukunaga worked both as the director and as one of the writers. He has sufficient experience in both roles, he wrote the screenplay for the movie It from 2018, he directed 8 episodes in the series True Detective and 10 episodes in the series Maniac among many other productions.
Robert Wade and Neal Purvis were the other writers of this film. They always work together and specialize in movies about spies and especially about 007 because they have worked in several of them such as Spectre, Skyfall, Quantum of Solace, Casino Royale, and they even wrote one Johnny English movie as well.
The main character, Daniel Craig, plays the 007 agent. Or rather, he plays ex-007 because at the beginning of this film he is already retired and there is a new agent that was given the 007 name. Apart from 007 movies, he has also appeared in many other productions such as Knives Out, The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Dream House, among other ones. El villano es una persona llena de resentimiento por cosas horribles que le sucedieron en el pasado, y ahora tiene los recursos y el poder para vengarse finalmente de todos los que le hicieron daño. Quiere cambiar el mundo y no tiene ningún tipo de brújula moral, además de ser probablemente inestable psicológicamente como consecuencia de sus traumas.
La película es mucho mejor que la media, pero aún así fue fácil adivinar qué acontecimiento "inesperado" estaba a punto de suceder antes de que se mostrara realmente en la pantalla. Varias veces durante la película ocurrió alguna "sorpresa" pero estas "sorpresas" se sintieron un poco genéricas lo cual fue un poco decepcionante. Tal vez haya algún tipo de manual que algunas películas de acción utilizan para introducir nuevas situaciones desafiantes, y después de ver muchas películas uno empieza a notar ciertas cosas que hacen que sea fácil adivinar lo que va a pasar a continuación. Esto me pasó en esta película pero no arruinó la experiencia.

How were the performance from the cast, the scenery and the camera work?
The cast provided a great performance with their roles which shouldn't be surprising since this film has what can be considered as an all-star cast. The only thing I didn't like was some fighting scenes but this is typical in me because regular fighting scenes are hardly entertaining for me anymore. I think the only films with entertaining fights would be those with superheroes thanks to their superpowers.
The scenery was very varied with important scenes taking place in different countries. As mentioned before, there are important events happening in Cuba, and there is also a mysterious island with an important facility in it. I liked the settings and the audacity in some of them.
The camera work was nicely done, and there were some extreme scenes where a perfect movement of the camera was necessary to follow the craziness 007 was doing. It was noticeable this film was a super production and that every moment of the movie was filmed in the best possible way.
Final thoughts
No Time to Die was a good film, with a challenging new villain and an entertaining enough plot to keep the viewers interested despite its longer than usual length of almost 3 hours. It provided a good ending to this particular 007 agent, and I wonder what bigger threat will they explore in upcoming films with the new 007.
This was a fine action film with a well-thought plot and it is easy to recommend it for fans of both the action and the thriller genres. There aren't many silly lines that are typical in action films and can devalue the plot, this is a pure and serious action movie where the world is at stake.

¿Cómo fue la actuación del reparto, la escenografía y el trabajo de cámara?
El elenco brindó una gran actuación con sus papeles lo cual no debería sorprender ya que esta película tiene lo que se puede considerar como un elenco de estrellas. Lo único que no me gustó fueron algunas escenas de peleas pero esto es típico en mí porque las escenas de peleas regulares ya casi no me entretienen. Creo que las únicas películas con peleas entretenidas serían las de superhéroes gracias a sus superpoderes.
La escenografía fue muy variada con escenas importantes que se desarrollan en diferentes países. Como se mencionó antes, hay eventos importantes que suceden en Cuba, y también hay una isla misteriosa con una instalación importante en ella. Me gustaron los escenarios y la audacia en algunos de ellos.
El trabajo de cámara estuvo bien hecho, y hubo algunas escenas extremas en las que era necesario un movimiento perfecto de la cámara para seguir las locuras que hacía 007. Se notaba que esta película es una superproducción y que cada momento de la película estaba filmado de la mejor manera posible.
Pensamientos finales
No Time to Die fue una buena película, con un nuevo villano desafiante y una trama lo suficientemente entretenida como para mantener al espectador interesado a pesar de su duración más larga de lo habitual, casi 3 horas. Ofreció un buen final para este particular agente 007, y me pregunto qué amenaza mayor explorarán en próximas películas con el nuevo 007.
Esta fue una buena película de acción con una trama bien pensada y es fácil de recomendar para los fans de los géneros de acción y thriller. No hay muchas frases tontas que son típicas en los films de acción y que pueden devaluar la trama, esta es una película de acción pura y seria donde el mundo está en juego.

Me gusto ver a Ana de Armas, tiene mucha química con Craig, ya lo habían hecho muy bien en Knives Out. Fue una despedida digna para la era Craig, uno de los mejores Bond, según mi punto de vista. Nunca me gusto Pierce Brosnan como Bond y vi todas sus películas. Craig hizo un Bond mas actual y revitalizo la saga. El film me gusto, el villano interpretado por Rami, si que me parece le falto algo, vi muchos rasgos de otros personajes que ha hecho el actor, se esta repitiendo mucho en sus roles. Ahora, la pregunta del millón es ¿Quién será el nuevo Bond?
Comparto lo que dices sobre Rami, parece que su personaje de Mr Robot influye en sus actuaciones en otros roles. Con respecto al nuevo Bond, creo que Henry Cavill podría ser una buena opción, es un actor bastante bueno para producciones de acción.
Henry Cavill tiene físico y experiencia en producciones de acción, pero es demasiado conocido, tienen un status alto por los personajes que ha hecho, es costumbre en la saga Bond, siempre seleccionar un actor que todavía no tenga la categoría de gran estrella. he revisado algunos artículos y los posible Bond, pero como ocurrió con Craig, los productores pueden dar una sorpresa y contratar a alguien poco conocido por el publico mundial. Ojala acierte, para mi Craig dejo el nivel muy alto
Si eligen a alguien poco conocido entonces sí está bien difícil pensar en quien podría ser. De todas formas, elijan a quien elijan esta franquicia seguramente siempre tendrá éxito.
