Mi Reseña "BIG FISH"
Por lo general me gusta escribir sobre películas o series un poco más recientes, justo este film está cumpliendo 10 años de su estreno y ha sido una de las películas que más he visto en la vida, por lo menos unas 5 veces. He decidido verla una vez más porque resulta que mi esposa, @zullyscott no la había visto, cosa que me parecía algo muy raro, porque es una película que seguro le iba a gustar. Así que más que un review de la película como tal, pienso contar un poco de mi perspectiva reflexiva en torno a esta producción cinematográfica. Así que la dinamica de esta publicación será un tanto diferente a las que suelo hacer. Será un poco más que un review. Sin más preámbulo, vamos con la sinopsis.
Sinopsis
William Bloom no ha construido la mejor de las relaciones con su padre, pero luego de recibir una llamada y enterarse que su padre padece una grave enfermedad, vuelve a su casa natal para estar a su lado en esos momentos tan delicados. William creció oyendo cientos de historias que le contaba su padre, y esta vez las tenía que volver escuchar, él piensa que tras las historias, su papá ocultaba los hechos reales de su vida, de modo que comienza una investigación para descubrir el misterio que su papá le ocultaba tras la fantasía.

Recomendación:
Si te gusta el arte debes ver esta película y hablar del arte visual, sino, el arte literario tiene una riqueza narrativa que me encanta, y sí, la recomiendo mucho, vale la pena verla. No será la mejor película que verás en la vida, pero, tiene una riqueza poderosa. Confieso que cada vez que la veo me reconcilia con mi ejercicio de narrar historias. Me gusta escribir cuentos, relatos, y ver esta película me hace replantearme el modo en el cual ejerzo mi ejercicio de escritura. Si no la has visto aún, debes hacerlo lo antes posible, no te arrepentirás.
No estoy al tanto de las críticas que haya recibido o que tantos detractores pueda tener este film dirigido por Tim Burton, seguro tiene sus haters, pero es normal, no podemos complacer a todos nunca. En mi caso siento que vale la pena. Tampoco hay que tener las expectativas super altas, siempre es bueno dejarse sorprender. Y eso es algo que también puede resultar como enseñanza de la película.
Mis reflexiones sobre Big Fish
Los que me conocen saben que me gusta y apasiona la filosofía y no puedo dejar de ver las cosas desde la filosofía, es algo que me es natural. Por eso es que en esta oportunidad de volver a ver Big Fish fue el momento perfecto para contemplar qué aspectos filosóficos podía interpretar.
El primer aspecto que debo mencionar es el poder de la imaginación como recurso humano para interpretar el mundo. El mundo no es de un modo determinado, el mundo es como yo soy. Como seres humanos, pienso que no tenemos naturaleza y que poseemos el poder de modificar nuestro entorno y la imaginación está allí como recurso, no es como piensan muchos que la imaginación es fuga, o escape.
Por otro lado, la película es un periplo entre la tensión entre la vida y la muerte, siento que cada extremo está en pulsión frente al otro y parte de lo que somos es como caminamos por ese hilo que une los extremos. Ser humano es caminar sobre la cuerda floja entre dos abismos o eso es lo que diría Nietzsche y que a mí me parece un punto de vista acertado.
Otro aspecto filosófico ha sido lo que llamaré el “sentido narrativo” creo que nuestra capacidad de lenguaje nos brinda no solo el poder comunicarnos, sino, que nos brinda la posibilidad de crear relato, crear cosmovisiones, es decir, sabiendo que el mundo no es como es, sino, que es como soy yo, poder contar como es mi mundo, es vivificar mi espíritu en el mundo, exteriorizar mi relación con mi entorno.
A modo de conclusión:
Estos tres aspectos filosóficos son los que he podido rescatar de la pelicula, pienso que mientras más me pueda adentrar en los detalles, quizá descubra mucha más riqueza de sentido. Si no la has visto, ¿Qué esperas? Pero, si ya la has visto, cuéntame qué fue lo que más te gustó…

Review “BIG FISH”
I usually like to write about movies or series a little more recent, just this film is turning 10 years of its release and has been one of the movies I've seen the most in life, at least about 5 times. I decided to watch it one more time because it turns out that my wife, @zullyscott hadn't seen it, which I thought was a very strange thing to do, because it's a movie she was sure to like. So rather than a review of the film as such, I plan to tell a bit of my reflective perspective around this film production. So the dynamic of this post will be a bit different than the ones I usually do. It will be a bit more than a review. Without further ado, let's get to the synopsis.
Synopsis
William Bloom has not built the best of relationships with his father, but after receiving a call and learning that his father is suffering from a serious illness, he returns to his birth home to be by his side in those delicate moments. William grew up hearing hundreds of stories that his father told him, and this time he had to listen to them again, he thinks that behind the stories, his father was hiding the real facts of his life, so he begins an investigation to discover the mystery that his father was hiding behind the fantasy.

Recommendation:
If you like art you must see this movie and talk about the visual art, otherwise, the literary art has a narrative richness that I love, and yes, I highly recommend it, it's worth seeing. It will not be the best movie you will ever see, but, it has a powerful richness. I confess that every time I watch it, it reconciles me with my storytelling exercise. I like to write stories, tales, and watching this movie makes me rethink the way I exercise my writing exercise. If you haven't seen it yet, you should do it as soon as possible, you won't regret it.
I am not aware of the criticisms it has received or how many detractors this film directed by Tim Burton may have, sure it has its haters, but it is normal, we can never please everyone. In my case I feel it is worth it. Nor should we have super high expectations, it is always good to be surprised. And that is something that can also result as a teaching of the film.
My thoughts on Big Fish
Those who know me know that I like and am passionate about philosophy and I can't stop looking at things from a philosophical point of view, it's something that comes naturally to me. That's why this opportunity to re-watch Big Fish was the perfect time to contemplate what philosophical aspects I could interpret.
The first aspect I should mention is the power of imagination as a human resource to interpret the world. The world is not a certain way, the world is the way I am. As human beings, I think that we have no nature and that we possess the power to modify our environment and imagination is there as a resource, it is not as many think that imagination is escape, or escape.
On the other hand, the film is a journey between the tension between life and death, I feel that each extreme is pulsating against the other and part of what we are is how we walk that thread that joins the extremes. To be human is to walk on the tightrope between two abysses or that is what Nietzsche would say and that seems to me to be an accurate point of view.
Another philosophical aspect has been what I will call the "narrative sense" I believe that our capacity for language gives us not only the ability to communicate, but it gives us the possibility to create stories, to create worldviews, that is, knowing that the world is not as it is, but it is as I am, to tell how my world is, is to enliven my spirit in the world, to externalize my relationship with my environment.
By way of conclusion:
These three philosophical aspects are what I have been able to rescue from the film, I think that the more I can delve into the details, perhaps I will discover much more richness of meaning. Me gusta mucho cada historia del papá de William, todos los personajes y sus similitudes con la realidad es increíble. Pero sin duda el mayor crédito se los lleva el escritor Daniel Wallace, quién fue el creador de esta historia. Su novela de Pez grande fue escrita por los años 90s casi a los 2000. De hecho ésta película se estrenó algunos pocos años después.
Es una hermosa película y todos los actores realmente interpretaron bien a cada personaje. Gracias por traerla a memoria y recomendarla a aquellos que aún no la han visto, pues es una joya. Esa relación entre padre e hijo nos deja una bonita reflexión. Saludos @filoriologo

Hola @filoriologo, me gusta el cine y aunque no la he visto tanto como tu, si recuerdo que me gustó mucho el final donde todas las personas que parecían anécdotas o cuentos creados por el padre, se hicieron presentes para despedirlo, igualmente me gustó la visión de la vida que se muestra, con optimismo. Esta es un película excelente, Big Fish permite que veamos de otra forma la vida, otra forma de aceptar las cosas que pasan, y de lo que somos capaces de hacer.
