Si reflexiono un poco al respecto, posiblemente sea producto de que estoy escribiendo bastante. De hecho, en la escritura he encontrado mi sustento en estos últimos años y, mi lectura se limita a leer artículos científicos y las tesis de los estudiantes de los cuales soy tutora o jurado.
También con la aparición del streaming y poder seleccionar prácticamente “a la carta” la programación que deseo y esta facilidad influyen también.
Por eso, mi vida transcurre diría yo: “entre dos pantallas o en tres”, es decir: (1) computadora para trabajar como profesora o en la creación de contenido, investigar o estudiar, (2) teléfono para estar conectada y trabajar porque por ahí planifico, delego, me reúno y (3) TV donde puedo ver diferente tipo de programación en YouTube o en Netflix. Disney Channel, etc.
Yo estoy segura que muchos de ustedes están también entre esas pantallas. Aunque las actividades y propósitos sean distintos.
De esta manera, hace algunos días luego de ver la última temporada de “LA CASA DE PAPEL”, la cual volveré a ver para escribir un Post y no entrar en esa crisis típica, ese despecho y esa sensación de vacío típico de cuando algo se termina. Yo estaba un poco desorientada haciendo zapping dentro de Netflix y di con una película que me llamó la atención y que simplemente me encantó, “El Faro de las Orcas”, así que en este Post les cuento de qué va.

El Faro de las Orcas
La vida de Beto, transcurre de forma bastante solitaria y sencilla. Apenas cuenta con lo necesario, sin lujos o mucha tecnología pasa sus días disfrutando de la naturaleza. Pero su cotidianidad se ve interrumpida por Lola, una mujer española que sin previo aviso apareció en su casa.
Además, Lola no iba sola. La acompañaba su hijo, Tristán, Un niño autista que expresó ciertas emociones cuando vio a Beto en un programa de NatGeo en la tele, razón por la cual Lola decide emprender la aventura.
Esta película me conmovió mucho, porque además de tratar del mundo marino, refleja la relación entre el hombre, la naturaleza y los animales, invitando a reconocer que somos parte de un todo y que cada uno tiene su rol y que podemos coexistir. La verdad yo siempre me siento muy sensible frente a estos temas. Sobre todo desde que estoy trabajando con microplásticos me cuestiono muchas cosas de nuestro comportamiento como humanos y del papel que debemos desempeñar como habitantes de la Tierra.
El amor, en general se encuentra presente, el cual se abre las puertas entre el ambiente hostil, la soledad y las diferencias. Beto es incomprendido y no se le permite seguir teniendo contacto con las ballenas, algo que es lógico que se ponía en riesgo y los turistas podrían salir perjudicados. Sin embargo su naturaleza, ese propósito que tenía y que había escogido prevaleció.
Cuando la película finalizó me enteré que esta se basaba en una historia de la vida real, y que incluso se basa en un libro que escribió este biólogo marino que tenía una fuerte conexión con esta especie considerada muy peligrosa. Por eso me ha gustado mucho, porque también refleja la vida de los científicos y de cómo la ciencia influye en todos los espacios de la vida. Quizás no fue tan taquillera como otras producciones, pero con todo esto que la rodea, la considero especial. Cuando la vi me llené de muchas emociones me reconocí a veces, porque me gusta la aventura, tengo algunos temas con mis cosas de trabajo, aunque generalmente puedo parecer desordenada y por el contacto con otros cuando trabajo jajajaj (también me identifiqué en la película de Madame Curie). Por otra parte, reconocí a una amiga nueva que hice. Ella es presidenta de una ONG ambiental en Venezuela, en estos días dijo: es la naturaleza, los animales se deben alimentar, pese a la crueldad que esto pueda significar para alguno de nosotros. Así que me pareció simplemente genial.
Aprovecho la oportunidad para invitarlos a conservar el ambiente y a usar menos plástico por favor. La verdad estar en el mar y ver estas especies marinas es emocionante.

The Orcas Lighthouse
Beto's life is quite solitary and simple. He barely has what he needs, without luxuries or much technology, he spends his days enjoying nature. But his daily life is interrupted by Lola, a Spanish woman who shows up at his house without warning.
Also. Lola was not alone. She was accompanied by her son, Tristan. An autistic boy expressed certain emotions when he saw Beto on a NatGeo program on TV, which is why Lola decides to undertake the adventure.
This film moved me a lot, because besides dealing with the marine world, it reflects the relationship between man, nature, and animals, inviting us to recognize that we are part of a whole and that each one has its role and that we can coexist. The truth is that I always feel very sensitive to these issues. Especially since I am working with microplastics I question many things about our behavior as humans.
Love, in general, is present, which opens the doors between the hostile environment, the loneliness, the differences. Beto is misunderstood and is not allowed to continue to have contact with something that is logical that is put at risk and tourists could be harmed. However his nature, that purpose he had chosen prevailed.
When the movie ended I found out that this was based on a real-life story that is even based on a book that this marine biologist who had a strong connection with this species considered very dangerous wrote. That's why I liked it a lot because it also reflects the life of scientists and how science influences all areas of life. Maybe it wasn't as blockbuster as other productions, but with all this surrounding it, I consider it special. When I saw it I was filled with many emotions I recognized myself at times because I like adventure, I have some issues with my work stuff, although I can usually seem messy and because of the contact with others when I work hahahahahah (I also identified myself in the Madame Curie movie).
On the other hand, I recognized a new friend I made as president of an environmental NGO who said: it's nature, animals should be fed, despite the cruelty this may mean to some of us. So I thought it was just great.
I take this opportunity to invite you to conserve the environment and use less plastic, please. The truth is that being in the sea and seeing these marine species is exciting.
