Las películas de acción siempre tienen una historia muy emocionante que contar, pero cuando se mezclan con la ciencia ficción, poseen un plus especial que nos dejan sin aliento y también sin pestañar frente a la pantalla grande.
Action movies always have a very exciting story to tell, but when they are mixed with science fiction, they have a special plus that leaves us breathless and also without blinking in front of the big screen.
Así es como puedo describir al film cinematográfico “Depredador”, que se estrenó el 12 de junio de 1987 en los Estados Unidos por 20th Century Fox. La película recibió numerosas críticas mixtas, y pese a ello, logró recaudar aproximadamente 15 millones de dólares.
This is how I can describe the motion picture “Predator”, which was released on June 12, 1987 in the United States by 20th Century Fox. The film received numerous mixed reviews, and despite this, managed to gross approximately 15 million dollars.
Esta cinta que mezcla dos géneros en uno, fue dirigida por John McTiernan y escrita por Jim Thomas y John Thomas. Contó con varias figuras protagónicas, entre ellas, la del famoso actor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, quien compartió créditos con Carl Weathers, Richard Chaves , Jesse Ventura, Kevin Peter Hall, Bill Duke, Shane Black, Elpidia Carrillo y Sonny Landham.
This film that mixes two genres in one, was directed by John McTiernan and written by Jim Thomas and John Thomas. It featured several leading figures, including the famous actor, Arnold Schwarzenegger, who shared credits with Carl Weathers, Richard Chaves, Jesse Ventura, Kevin Peter Hall, Bill Duke, Shane Black, Elpidia Carrillo and Sonny Landham.
Depredador narra la lucha entre humanos y un ser de otro mundo. En un principio, nuestro personaje antagónico era todo un misterio, y aunque entre las críticas que recibió la película fue la de ser aburrida, pero muy espeluznante, opino que más de un espectador (me incluyo), quería descubrir que ser era capaz de destripar humanos, no ser visto y mucho menos destruido.
Predator narrates the fight between humans and a being from another world. At first, our antagonistic character was a mystery, and although among the criticisms that the film received was that of being boring, but very creepy, I think that more than one viewer (myself included) wanted to discover that being was capable of gutting humans, not be seen let alone destroyed.
La primera escena de este film, es la de una nave espacial acercándose a la tierra. No obstante, el escenario cambia drásticamente a la jungla, la costa de Guatemala, donde un grupo de militares estadounidenses fueron enviado a cumplir una misión.
The first scene of this film is that of a spaceship approaching the earth. However, the scene changes drastically to the jungle, the coast of Guatemala, where a group of US soldiers were sent to fulfill a mission.

La llegada en helicóptero a la jungla, no tuvo un agradable recibimiento, lo primero que ven al llegar es una escena muy desconcertante y aterradora. Se encuentran con los restos de un helicóptero accidentado, y más adelante, los cuerpos destrozados de varios soldados, todos compatriotas.
The arrival by helicopter to the jungle, did not have a pleasant reception, the first thing they see upon arrival is a very disconcerting and terrifying scene. They come across the wreckage of a crashed helicopter, and further on, the mangled bodies of several soldiers, all fellow countrymen.

La primera escena que más me impactó

El depredador además de tener una fuerza descomunal y detectar los cuerpos con la técnica de la termografía, podía pasar desapercibido al hacerse invisible. Cuando comenzó a matar, solo se veía el movimiento de la vegetación y luego el cuerpo caía al suelo, despellejado. En esa escena, nadie podía saber quién era el asesino, y Anna, la rehén, decía que la selva lo había matado.
The predator, in addition to having enormous strength and detecting bodies with the thermography technique, could go unnoticed by becoming invisible. La segunda escena que más me impactó

El depredador fue herido y los soldados descubren que tiene sangre, por cierto de color verde, y entonces, sacan sus propias conclusiones: “Si tiene sangre, podemos matarlo”.

La tercera escena que más me impactó
The third scene that impacted me the most.
Accidentalmente, Dutch cae por una cascada y sale cubierto de barro, esto impide que sea detectado por el depredador con la termografía y logra engañarlo por un momento.
Accidentally, Dutch falls down a waterfall and comes out covered in mud, this prevents him from being detected by the predator with the thermography and manages to fool him for a moment.
En la escena final, el depredador se quita la máscara y se puede ver su horrible cara mientras usa ese traje mimetizado, que lo hacía parecer indestructible.
In the final scene, the predator takes off his mask and his horrible face can be seen while wearing that camouflage suit, which made him look indestructible.
Conclusiones finales

En lo particular, la película me gustó y la seguiría viendo una y otra vez. ¿No les pasa que ven una película que les gusta mucho cada vez que la pasan?. Desde que apareció ese ser misterioso con grandes poderes, me quedé prendada en saber de qué se trataba, que criatura era capaz de matar y de esa forma.
Personally, I liked the movie and would continue to watch it over and over again. Doesn't it happen to them that they watch a movie that they really like every time they play it? Since that mysterious being with great powers appeared, I was captivated to know what it was about, what creature was capable of killing and in that way.
El final me pareció emocionante, porque mientras nuestro protagonista estaba bajo el camuflaje de barro, había una posibilidad para vencerlo, pero luego, quedó expuesto y parecía que perdería la batalla. Sin embargo, el bien siempre triunfa y logró acabar con un ser de otro mundo, cuyo único propósito era acabar con la raza humana.
The ending seemed exciting to me, because while our protagonist was under the mud camouflage, there was a chance to defeat him, but then, he was exposed and it seemed that he would lose the battle. However, good always triumphs and managed to kill a being from another world, whose sole purpose was to kill the human race.

Yo recuerdo haber visto depredador cuando era pequeño, me fascinó ese personaje, ese invasor del espacio con características muy impresionantes. Siempre me recuerdo de esa lucha entre Schwarzenegger y Depredador, cuando se cubre con el lodo y realiza una muy elaborada trampa.
En lo particular no me pareció una película aburrida, quizás la critica esperaba un ritmo más rápido y muchas más muertes

Al empezar a leer recordé cuando le vi con mis tías estaba muy pequeño en ese tiempo es muy irónico ver cómo pasa el tiempo. Es una película que le daría un 2/5 actualmente. A mi realmente no me gustaría formar parte del equipo Delta Ford :*) Imagínate tener que pelear para sobrevivir contra eso…
Le das una puntuación bajita, obvio nadie quiere estar ahí, murieron casi todos mientras descubrían como matarlo.
Increible pero cierto, esta película forma parte de mi infancia hahaha, la recuerdo e inmediatamente me traslado s mi infancia, tengo muy buenos recuerdos viendola con mi familia siendo muy pequeña, debo haberla visto unas 50 veces más o menos. Es muy buena ¡gracias por recordarmela amiga!
