Esa pregunta abre un sinfín de respuestas en mi cabeza porque nunca he sido bueno para elegir cuando se trata de artistas que hacen brillar la rama del arte en la que ejercen, me pasa con el cine, la música, la literatura, con todas las artes. Pero si tener un actor o actriz como favorito significa admirar sus trabajos, no cansarte de verlos en la pantalla, disfrutar de cada película o serie que hacen, entonces, hoy puedo empezar a decir que tengo un actriz y un actor favorito.

A esta mujer la he visto haciendo de todo en el cine y en la pantalla chica, y no deja de cautivarme su talento a la hora de tomar las riendas de un papel en una película o serie, sea la protagonista o no, siempre da en el clavo y eso me hace admirar su arte.
En comedia me ha robado más de un carcajada y una risa estrepitosa, ni hablarles de los dramas en los que ha participado, siempre se asome el sentimiento en mi que ella emana a través de su actuar; en el suspenso me ha hecho saltar y gritarle a la pantalla "¡No cierres la puerta que él asesino está ahí!" (Red Eye - 2005), ha hecho de todo y todo lo que ha hecho en el cine lo disfruto.
I have seen this woman doing everything in the cinema and on the small screen, and her talent never ceases to captivate me when it comes to taking charge of a role in a movie or series, whether she is the protagonist or not, she always hits the spot and that makes me admire her art.

Rachel me sorprendió bastante cuando la vi participar en la película original de Netflix Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga, me pareció extraño que estuviese en un musical, pues desconocía que podía cantar, luego vi varias entrevistas sobre la película y aunque su voz cantada le pertenece a una ex concursante de Eurovision de origen islandés.
Su actuación ahí me dio la oportunidad de verla con otros ojos, a parte, logré visualizarla como cantante y me gustó mucho, es que lo ha hecho todo y de paso, lo ha hecho bien.
Rachel surprised me a lot when I saw her participate in the Netflix original movie Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga, it seemed strange to me that she was in a musical, because I didn't know she could sing, then I saw several interviews about the movie and although her singing voice belongs to a former Eurovision contestant of Icelandic origin.
Her performance there gave me the opportunity to see her with different eyes, besides, I was able to visualize her as a singer and I liked it a lot, it is that she has done everything and by the way, she has done it well.

Pero sin duda, para mi, uno de sus papeles que más me ha llevado a apreciarla de verdad como actriz ha sido el personaje que interpretó en "Spotlight" (2015), donde encarnó a Sacha Pfeiffer, una periodista de Massachusetts, Estados Unidos, que formó parte del equipo de investigación en el periódico "The Boston Globe", sobre un caso relacionado con la iglesia católica.
Rachel no ganó el premio Oscar por esa actuación, pero no cabe duda, y luego de haber visto muchas de sus actuaciones anteriores, esa que realizó en esta película me terminó de convencer acerca de lo increíblemente talentosa que es, además, no puede evitar sentirme relacionado con el tema periodístico de la película porque también soy periodista, así que, eso pudo ser otro factor influyente en mi apreciación de su actuación y la de todo el cast.

Solo logré verlo en su mejor momento, y desde entonces ha resonado en un listado que no había materializado ni en mi cabeza pero que sabía que si algún día debía mencionar a un actor favorito, Adam estaría en el primer puesto, punto.

La primera actuación que vi de Adam fue en la película This Is Where I Leave You (2014) y aunque no fue el papel más memorable de su carrera, para mi fue una buena carta de introducción, hizo el papel de un hijo inmaduro y algo idiota, pero capaz de tener destellos de madurez cuando el momento lo requería (y sí que fue requerido durante varias partes del largometraje).
The first performance I saw of Adam was in the movie This Is Where I Leave You (2014) and although it was not the most memorable role of his career, for me it was a good letter of introduction, he played the role of an immature and somewhat idiotic son, but capable of having flashes of maturity when the moment required it (and it was required during several parts of the film).

Fue explosivo en su mejor expresión el verlo desarrollar tan interesante personaje durante todo el film; los momentos de felicidad, los de amargura y rabia, los de completo caos y desesperación e incluso los desgarradores y bien emocionales, me ofrecieron, como espectador, una verdadera montaña rusa de emociones muy reales que fueron capaces de excluir por completo lo minimalista y algo repetitivo de los conflictos entre parejas para darle paso a los sentimientos y lo que pueden hacer con un ser humano.

Como actor, lo vi capaz de ser y hacer todo lo que se proponga porque tiene la particularidad de entregar trabajos fílmicos de calidad y cualidad para que nosotros, los espectadores, podamos disfrutar de lo que como artista tiene para dar; ha sido uno de los actores más resonantes en mi en estos últimos años.

Adam Driver es un actor estupendo y en solo un par de años ha acumulado un catálogo de filmes estupendos, partiendo desde lo más mainstream cómo su rol de Kylo Ren en la trilogía más reciente de Star Wars, hasta su conmovedor papel como coprotagonista en Marriage Story. Rachel McAdams es otra opción excelente.
Si, olvidé mencionar algo sobre su papel en Star Wars (que no he visto, por cierto), pero es cierto lo que dices, el abanico de propuestas que ha desarrollado en su carrera lo han validado como un actorazo; en cuanto a Rachel no se puede decir mucho porque su trabajo habla por si solo. I love Rachel in both her dramatic roles and the comedies she has worked in. She is beautiful and I still hope she gets a role in the future that makes her stand out more. Adam Driver I hated in the last Star Wars trilogy, but he is an excellent actor who has proven his talent in many other films. A Marriage Story is a great movie and one of his best performances.
