in #hive-1668473 months ago (edited)

This month's topic: MY TOP 3 END OF THE WORLD MOVIES a contest by @yourtop3
This is my entry into this month’s Top 3 contest.
My Nominations are:
1- 2012
2- legion
3- the end of the world.

Nomination number 1.

My Reasons for Nomination.
2012 is a 2009 American disaster film.
directed by: Roland Emmerich.
The film stars: John Cusack, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Amanda Peet, Oliver Platt, Thandie Newton, Danny Glover, and Woody Harrelson.
Film Plot.
A geologist discovers the Earth's crust is becoming unstable after a massive solar flare caused by an alignment of the planet attempts to bring his family to safety as the world is destroyed by a series of extreme natural disasters caused by this.
2012 is my best and the most fearful end of the world movie I have ever watched, it is the mother and father of all end of the world movies. I watched 2012 in the year 2010, I hope you are picturing where I am heading and why the film was very scary. It was 2010 when I saw the trailer of this movie and everything I ever knew or was told about the end of the world was portray in that films, I was seriously scared that I thought the world will end by 2012, the part I enjoyed most was the fact that after all the destruction Africa was the only continent that remain standing and The idea of creating 3 big ship to save the human race and the animals which to me it was an idea from the Noah Arch.
This movie is worth spending time and money to watch because it was a masterpiece.

Nomination Number 2.

My Reasons for the Nomination
Legion is a 2010 American action horror film directed by Scott Stewart. The cast includes Paul Bettany, Lucas Black, Tyrese Gibson, Adrianne Palicki, Kate Walsh, and Dennis Quaid.
This film was very interesting and very funny to me at the same time. The children of God sins on earth was becoming out of hand, it was increasing and keep on going non stop, God was angry I decree to the angles to destroy the world but before the decree was carried out Michael the favorite angle came down to save humankind "and so the concept of falling angles by illuminaty or Freemason I" personal thought.
OK, let's continue Michael came down to save mankind because he believed who could be save through an born child which the mother was the only pregnant woman in the world "according to the film" and that human just need a remainder and guide.
But angle Gabriel and the other angles were not in supported and Gabriel has to come down too to stop Michael by all means necessary.
The action and the idea behind the film is what I loved most about the film and why I decided to put it in my top 3.

Nomination Number 3
This is the end.

My Reasons for the Nomination
best comedy movie of the end of the world so far, I did not put this movie as part of my top 3 because it was that great I just put it because it was very funny and remind of me of something. I thoroughly enjoyed the film. One thing's for certain: this film is not "just like" any other end of the world film you could name. It is one of the funniest ones. Although it has some violence nasty dialog. However, the film is surprisingly good.

Hey, it’s Q here - the mascot of the Your Top 3 Contest - just swinging by to say thanks for these awesome suggestions for our contest this month! I've given you an upvote and logged your nominations, ready for the dpoll - keep an eye on my blog for the dpoll post!

Make sure you set your post payout to 50/50. You keep the HP and then transfer the HIVE and/or HBD (whichever is paid out at the time) to @yourtop3 with a link to your blog post entry in the transfer memo. This is the minimum entry fee, but you can add as much as you like to it! The more you add, the more you can win. There is no maximum entry fee.

Not sure how to find your post payout? Look in your Hive Wallet under Author Rewards to find the exact payout for your post. In the example below you would send the 0.011 HBD and 6.441 HIVE over to the @yourtop3 account as your entry fee. I take it from there and convert all of the prize pool to SBD for easy prize distribution at the end of the month!

Got it, thank you.

Welcome to the contest! Awesome to see some new faces this round. Especially with such great choices. I think I'm going to have to go back and watch 2012 as I am really thinking I might not have seen it when it came out. A few people have picked it, so must be a good one! Legion is another good choice, and one I do remember seeing. I put This is the End on my own list, so happy to see it actually make the dpoll, too! Good luck! :)

You have to watch 2012 if you have not, the best end of the world movies, in fact it is the mother, father and sibling of all end of the world movie. lol
Great film.
Good luck.
Thanks for stopping by.

@jaguarosky Your content for the Your Top 3 Contest was well presented. I have only seen one of the movies.

Nice that you have joined in this monthly contest. Did you read the instructions and guidelines in the contest owner's post before entering?

IMPORTANT: PLEASE NOTE. You include in your post several photos that you obtained from Google. I understand that you have already been advised that a Google search is not a source for free images. Please take the time to locate other images for your post that are free to use.

I have read,
Okay thank you.

Hey hey welcome to the Your Top 3 contest! Some great selections here, how are they all nearly or over 10 years old already?! Time flies hey. Glad to see 2012 make the cut and Legion could be an underdog here! I've not seen This is the End but with a movie title like that, it seems really appropriate for the contest!

Good luck in the contest!

Thank you Sir.

Good selection of films for this category. I remember before the release of 2012, we were all scared that it would be the end of the world. Thank God it was just a movie. Greetings.

Yea the film was very Scarry then, such that you will actually think it was the end.

Excellent choices, @jaguarosky! I had your first two picks on my long list (50+, but ultimately chose different ones. Now I'm in the mood to rewatch Legion for the bazillionth time, and I agree - the idea behind the story is an excellent one. Best of luck with the upcoming dpoll!

Wow 50+..... I never thought i would meet my master when it comes to watching film so easily, I think "lord of the rings" was the only film I watch that I seriously loss count of how many things I watched it, all the rest is just 5 to 6 times and that's all.. Same to you.

Hey @jaguarosky

Welcome to the contest.

I'm a big John Cusack fan, so 2012 is alright by me.

This is the End is a laugh. Some really good comedy actors.

Legion was great. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It's another movie in Q's category this month, that doesn't get the recognition it deserves.

Good luck

Thanks for stopping by and commenting

Hello @jaguarosky It's been 13 days since you responded to my comment below concerning the sourcing of your images in your article. I see your post still contains the images from your Google search.

It's imperative that you address this issue I pointed out to you as soon as possible. In doing so, please see my note below:

Google is like a library, which collects images from all over the Internet. If you were writing an essay for school, you could NOT say that your information came from "some book I found at the library" but you'd need to indicate WHICH book and WHO WROTE IT, to give the original author credit.

If you want to use an image you found in Google, then click on that image and then click-through to the website of the person who created it. Find the name of the original artist so they can receive full credit for their work. Then, make sure there is no statement on the website that says images cannot be used without permission. If you see such a message, DO NOT use it, but choose another image from Google, instead and repeat the process.

ALSO: Please remember that failure to properly source images looks badly on your account and also the Hive blockchain as a whole! If we want to onboard more folks, we need to keep the chain in good shape!

You indicate above that you are a proud member of The Terminal. You utilize the privilege of promoting your posts in one of its #post-promo-rooms. To continue utilizing this privilege, please acknowledge that you have read, understand, and agree to correct the issues brought to your attention.

I understood now thank you.
I always have problem with sourcing pictures I just thought the most important thing is for the reader to click the source link and see the pic.
Know with the explanation above I think I got it, thank you @justclikindiva.

I responded to your comment but I still didn't know if to change the source from the post or correct it on my next post.

Change the source in this current post. You can't leave it as is. And do it as soon as possible.

Done. Although I checked pixabay and pexel I could not find them, I had to check Netflix

Did you try Wikipedia Commons?

No, let me check there also.
