Hivers, un placer escribir nuevamente para todos ustedes, he puesto bajo la lupa aquellas nuevas adquisiciones de una de las plataformas más importantes del entretenimiento, hablo concretamente de Netflix y sus apuestas por mostrar producciones de otras culturas fuera de lo que habitualmente veíamos en el cine o en la televisión. Hace tiempo atrás veríamos casi ilógico observar producciones asiáticas, incluso las europeas eran escasas para gran parte de nuestra región, en ese sentido esta plataforma ha ayudado a ver películas provenientes de otras culturas y hoy es el caso de analizar una producción de origen Ruso, Sputnik.
Esta película es estrenada en el año 2020, cuenta con poco menos de dos horas de duración y así como lo mencioné en el párrafo anterior es de origen ruso. Debo decir que esta película trata sobre seres o un ser de otro planeta, en la película se le conoce como un pasajero extraño, sin embargo, no es un film de acción donde soldados luchan contra alienígenas con armas laser, esta producción nos cuenta otra historia que si bien hace que la trama sea más lenta y menos emocionante no deja de ser interesante.
Sinopsis:
Unión Soviética, astronautas provenientes de una estación espacial sufren un accidente en el retorno a la tierra, lo que parece un desastre provocado por alguna falla se convierte en un descubrimiento impresionante pero al mismo tiempo mortal. El gobierno silencia los medios de comunicación mientras se estudia lo sucedido en esa nave espacial y lo que le sucede al único sobreviviente de ese desastre.
Análisis de la Película
La historia de esta película nos lleva a un encuentro extremadamente cercano con un ser de otro planeta, la trama se desarrolla bajo una ambiente investigativo y procedimental sobre ese astronauta que pudo sobrevivir al desastre. Desde cierto punto de vista la historia es interesante y al mismo tiempo inquietante desde su sinopsis, debido a que el miedo a lo desconocido puede captar la atención y ser ese condimento que le haga elegir ver esta película.
El ritmo es algo lento al principio para darnos una introducción larga pero necesaria, veremos que al avanzar la película hacia su etapa final que el ritmo se va acelerando otorgando más emoción en los minutos finales de la producción, en las últimas escenas podemos notar algo acción y disparos, sin embargo, la película trata primordialmente de entender este ser del espacio que viajó junto al astronauta.
A lo largo de esta producción descubriremos esos secretos ocultos de ese ser espacial, lo cual genera algo de tensión debido a lo que puede hacer, otorgando al espectador cierto suspenso y terror psicológico, si bien no es significativo permanece la intriga por buena parte del tiempo.
Guion
Me parece que la estructura narrativa de esta producción es de buena calidad, la película nos va llevando a descubrir esos misterios que nos preguntamos básicamente desde el inicio del rodaje. Podemos notar algunas sorpresas en la segunda mitad de la producción, sin embargo, al igual que otros aspectos no es muy significativo e incluso algo predecible.
Desde mi perspectiva creo que la narrativa puede ser el punto fuerte de esta película, desarrollando una historia con originalidad, en este momento no recuerdo otra producción desarrollando esta temática más que la película Alien - El octavo pasajero, sin embargo, no se podría comparar ambas producciones ya que desarrollan la temática de manera distinta donde esta última se inclina más al terror y la acción que Sputnik.
Este guion tiene sus limitaciones, mostrando una película que no termina de encajar en un género fuera del argumento de un extraterrestre invadiendo el cuerpo de un astronauta, no posee mucho suspenso, tampoco fuertes emociones, sin embargo, no todo es malo debido que lo compensa en su narrativa bien estructurada, por lo cual se convierte en una película que no es muy comercial pero que puede ser entretenida por la manera en que se van desarrollando los hechos y descubriendo los misterios.
Fotografía y Ambientación
Otro de los puntos fuertes en esta producción es la fotografía y la ambientación, recordemos que la historia se desarrolla en la época de la Unión Soviética, la ambientación en nos hace viajar en el tiempo complementado con un buen trabajo de fotografía. Hay escenas con muy buena calidad visual acompañados por buenos juegos de cámara.
Efectos Visuales
Aunque la película se base en seres de otro planeta no cuenta con muchos efectos especiales, de hecho, no son necesarios hasta cierto punto, sin embargo, son presentados de muy buena calidad cuando la situación lo amerita, es decir, cuando observamos al alienígena.
Actuación
La actuación me parece aceptable, sin embargo, creo que el personaje del astronauta, el huésped del alienígena, parece no ser totalmente convincente, me parece que este personaje de alguna forma desentona en toda la historia, me hubiera gustado ver un personaje más emotivo, con afecciones psicológicas marcadas luego de vivir un evento que le otorga un cuadro de estrés post traumático. Esa sensación de preocupación, miedo, angustia no es trasmitida por el personaje, resaltando que no hago un énfasis total sobre la actuación debido a que el guion indudablemente limita este tipo de aspectos que desde mi punto de vista le otorgarían a la película un poco más de calidad a su trama.

Opinión Personal
Desde mi punto de vista la producción nos muestra una buena estructura narrativa, sin embargo, la carencia de emociones no le hace sobresalir de otras películas. Me parece que algunos personajes debieron mostrar otras facetas psicológicas debido a todo lo ocurrido. La película es lineal sin sorpresas ya que incluso el final es algo predecible. En lo particular la producción me deja una sensación de que pudo buscar más allá ya que cuentan con un trabajo técnico bastante bueno.
La película me mantuvo atento durante toda su duración, ciertamente es entretenida y a final de cuentas queremos saber lo que pasa con el extraterrestre, sin embargo, es importante resaltar que no a todo el público en general le podría parecer un producto de entretenimiento debido a la falta de emociones.
¿La Recomiendo?
Si se busca una película con emociones fuertes o acción contra aliens, esta producción en definitiva acabará decepcionando, sin embargo, para una persona que busca una trama investigativa para descubrir los secretos ocultos de un ser espacial, si la recomendaría por su buen desarrollo en cuanto a la trama, se mantiene la atención hasta el final a pesar de esa carencia de escenas que impacten al espectador.

Some time ago we would see almost illogical to watch Asian productions, even the European ones were scarce for much of our region, in that sense this platform has helped to see films from other cultures and today is the case of analyzing a production of Russian origin, Sputnik.
This film is released in the year 2020, has just under two hours of duration and as I mentioned in the previous paragraph is of Russian origin. I must say that this movie is about beings or a being from another planet, in the movie he is known as a strange passenger, however, it is not an action film where soldiers fight aliens with laser weapons, this production tells us another story that although it makes the plot slower and less exciting it is still interesting.
Synopsis:
Soviet Union, astronauts coming from a space station suffer an accident while returning to earth, what seems a disaster caused by some fault becomes an impressive but at the same time deadly discovery. The government silences the media while studying what happened in that spacecraft and what happens to the only survivor of that disaster.
Film Analysis
The story of this film takes us to an extremely close encounter with a being from another planet, the plot develops under an investigative and procedural environment about that astronaut who could survive the disaster. From a certain point of view the story is interesting and at the same time disturbing from its synopsis, because the fear of the unknown can capture the attention and be that spice that makes you choose to see this movie.
The pace is somewhat slow at the beginning to give us a long but necessary introduction, we will see that as the film progresses towards its final stage that the pace is accelerating giving more emotion in the final minutes of the production, in the last scenes we can notice some action and shooting, however, the film is primarily about understanding this being from space who traveled with the astronaut.
Throughout this production we will discover those hidden secrets of this space being, which generates some tension due to what it can do, giving the viewer some suspense and psychological terror, although it is not significant, the intrigue remains for much of the time.
Script
It seems to me that the narrative structure of this production is of good quality, the film takes us to discover those mysteries that we wondered basically from the beginning of the shooting. We can notice some surprises in the second half of the production, however, like other aspects it is not very significant and even somewhat predictable.
From my perspective I think the narrative can be the strong point of this film, developing a story with originality, at this moment I don't remember another production developing this thematic more than the movie Alien - The Eighth Passenger, however, we could not compare both productions since they develop the thematic in a different way where the latter leans more to terror and action than Sputnik.
This script has its limitations, showing a film that does not end up fitting into a genre outside the plot of an alien invading the body of an astronaut, it does not have much suspense, nor strong emotions, however, not everything is bad because it makes up for it in its well structured narrative, which makes it a film that is not very commercial but can be entertaining for the way in which the facts are developed and discovering the mysteries.
Photography and Setting
Another of the strong points in this production is the photography and the setting, remember that the story takes place in the Soviet Union era, the setting makes us travel in time complemented with a good photography work. There are scenes with very good visual quality accompanied by good camera work.
Visual Effects
Although the film is based on beings from another planet, it does not have many special effects, in fact, they are not necessary to a certain extent, however, they are presented in very good quality when the situation warrants it, that is, when we observe the alien.
Acting
The acting seems acceptable to me, however, I think the character of the astronaut, the alien's host, seems not to be totally convincing, it seems to me that this character somehow out of tune with the whole story, I would have liked to see a more emotional character, with marked psychological conditions after living an event that gives him a picture of post-traumatic stress. That feeling of worry, fear, anguish is not transmitted by the character, emphasizing that I do not make a total emphasis on the acting because the script undoubtedly limits this type of aspects that from my point of view would give the film a little more quality to its plot.

Personal Opinion
From my point of view the production shows a good narrative structure, however, the lack of emotions does not make it stand out from other films. It seems to me that some characters should have shown other psychological facets due to everything that has happened. The film is linear with no surprises as even the ending is somewhat predictable. In particular, the production leaves me with the feeling that it could have gone further since it has a pretty good technical work.
The film kept me attentive throughout its duration, it is certainly entertaining and at the end of the day we want to know what happens with the alien, however, it is important to note that not all the general public might find it an entertaining product due to the lack of emotions.
Do I recommend it?
If you are looking for a movie with strong emotions or action against aliens, this production will definitely end up disappointing, however, for a person looking for an investigative plot to discover the hidden secrets of a space being, if I would recommend it for its good development in terms of plot, it keeps the attention until the end despite the lack of scenes that impact the viewer.

La vi hace un tiempo y reseñe. Me gusto el film y la protagonista. Mucha influencia del estilo de aliens amsricano. El final,es predecible, pero entretenida peli rusa.
Es entretenida, me gusta como está estructurada y como se van revelando los misterios, la protagonista hace un buen papel, pero el personaje del astronauta no me termina de convencer. Si tienes un alien en tu interior deberías estar preocupado más por como lo muestra la película.
A los amantes de las películas rápidas de ciencias ficción y disparos que son las más comerciales tal vez no sea algo sobresaliente pero insisto, a mi me entretuvo de principio a fin
